Management is terrible. After 2 months of working there my section manger didn’t even bother learning my name. Training was awful as I basically had to teach myself the inner working of the department I was placed in. Not to mention changing my shift for a few weeks to be trained as a backup machine operator and then being placed with a gentlemen that couldn’t really train me because he English was very limited. That’s not a knock against the employee as they hired a handful of Ukrainian immigrants with limited English and then expect them to train new employees. That’s on management.

Departments don’t communicate with each other effectively and it leaves giant gaps in the work flow. Everyone knows a always blaming each other as to why certain parts are available for to complete orders.

The pay is low for a factory setting as a new employee. It’s a fairly stress free environment and most of the employees are good people. 

No room for advancement, so if you want to be a cog in the broken wheel and just earn a paycheque this is the place for you.

They offer a competitive wage and overtime pay for salary employees

Poor communication in the production department specifically among the supervisors and not everyone is held to the same accountability and standards. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Overall, the work culture is positive. However, there are noticeable cliques within the leadership team and supervisory group, and expectations are not always applied consistently across all staff.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Oversaw team operations to maintain efficient workflows and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.

A typical day at work consisted of early mornings and late evenings trying to crunch as much work as possible.

Learned - Reading of blue prints reading measuring tapes & calipers

management is still trying to learn how to operate work cells effectively.

workplace culture is difficult to understand if you aren't use to being able to laugh at yourself in situations.

hardest part of the job is trying to push rush jobs out effectively while not giving out on quality.

most enjoyable were long term people you worked with every single day. Became family which made you want to work harder so everyone looked better.

The work is awesome it’s like a wood shop, CNC equipment, band saws, table saws etc.
Co workers on the floor are generally very friendly and willing to help out new guys who don’t know what they’re doing. Management is a bit of a shot show (poor scheduling and communication) with a bit of favouritism. Pay has been getting better over the years and there is room for employee advancement

Non supportive management. They play favorites

Constantly changing priorities that effect staff and then blame staff when things go sideways.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Generally low morale. Many unhappy employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clock in. Work at position. 2 15 min. breaks.

This place feels like you are working at the circus. Management is a joke. Injuries galore. Want to lose a finger... this is the place for you. Want to get high at work.... this is the place for you. Ministry of Labour and the Ontario Labour Board both now this place well.No integrity. Minimum wage. Work hard for them, but no recognition. The highest turnover rate in the city. They will soon have to start shipping workers in from different countries.

The Operations Manager and Vice convinces you to join the company offering heaven and in return gives you opposite. I was doing the opposite of what I was hired for. If you raise your voice for that, you are fired. For the job security, culture and 0 training, I would rate -1 out of 0 to 10 scale.

Stay away.  Bunch of bullies.  If you stick up for yourself you are gone in a heartbeat.  They pay min wage and look for a lot of temp service.  99% do not have a high school education so you can imagine the mentality of the work force.  The only reason I lasted 1.5 years is because I was on the afternoon shift.  Fellow co-workers will rat you out.  I promise you that.

A good culture. Very helpful employees and decent management who listens.
Wages are way to low for type of work and location. Not consistent either. Excellent work evaluations and small change given out. Potential to be a great company on a steady industry. People leave and issue is invariably wages.

One day training, very repetitive and fast paced,  they will can you if injured and they will say it was without cause. Ministry of labor is corrupt and in conducts back pocket.  Worst place I ever worked .
