My time at Canpar has been a pleasant one, I enjoyed the work as it was physical work, which is fairly easy, and almost everything else to do there is mind-numbingly easy.

The only problem with the company is how cheap the higher ups are, and the fact that directors have poor communication with management making the job much harder sometimes.

The poor communication between regional, companywide, and local managers translates to poor communication to the staff team, often over complicating things which would be relatively easier.

The drivers they hire also do the bare minimal often complaining about how hard they work, while some of the employees turn their trackers off so they can sit at home for 1-2 hours each day, while getting payed, and backing up the entire warehouse, making others pickup their slack.

They run off an outdated system, causing you to rescan the same boxes day in and day out because the drivers havent delivered them, so you have to scan them as delayed instead of having a computer system determining what has left the warehouse and what hasnt, scanning which hasnt as delayed.

The upper management is also very cheap, the working conditions are fairly poor, and almost every single delivery vehicle is bad, with no working AC in the summer, most heaters not working for the winter, no radio, and theyre essentially a tin can ensuring if you get in any minor accident, the vehicle will be totaled and your safety is questionable.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Use of App to plan your daily route is allowed although I do not use it myself.

Routes are not subject to a select area they can have multiple other areas added to your dedicated area if your stop count isnt high enough

Toxic and or misleading work environment 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Not knowing how much your workload for the day will be making it difficult to balance your life around unfortunately . The pay is good but the lack of Union support for over dispatching freight to drivers is poor

Driving was the best part being on thr road. Then delivering the packages to the customer.  Other than that the management don't have a clue about what they are doing

My supervisor who had a short fuse and would explode without warning for the least thing

Oppressive and bullying they use scare tactics to motivate the staff

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and you are baraided

The people and nothing else. Go work at FedEx or ups and be treated like a human

Under paid, garbage managers and supervisors who are clueless. They hire people fresh out of jail with no background check. So tou never know who toure working with.

Toxic and unbearably hot in summer and cold in winter. No proper heating or cooling.

Boring and repetitive and not worth the pay

Leaving the warehouse and starting the deliveries

Being at the warehouse with all the other drivers and bosses

Can be pretty toxic but usually a one on one conversation with someone goes well

Hectic in the morning but it gets better as the day goes on

Going home at the end of my shift

That lack of help and a huge lack of communication and leadership

Super toxic hard to deal with on a day to day

Stressful, overworked, underappericated

Winter driving, sometimes is quite challenging

Hardworking, dedicated employees. Strong independent  driver's

Busy, need to be organized and handle some stressful situations

Working at this place has truly been an incredible experience. From the very first day, I felt welcomed and supported by a team that is not only professional but also genuinely kind and friendly. The atmosphere is warm and positive, making every work day enjoyable. The management is attentive and always willing to help, which makes a big difference when you're trying to learn and grow in your role.

There is nothing good about working there.

Not being in the loop on changes that affect daily tasks.

My experience is very poor all around.

Colleagues. Salary. Benefits.

Grumpy people. Unnecessary changes. Trucks without A/C.

Everyday is different. Overall fun and laughter.

Busy. Lots of heavy lifting. Lots of driving.
