Canyon Creek Chophouse

Typical day consists of everyone gathering for a productive shift meeting to get priorities in line and to get the team pumped for the night ahead. I learned alot about team work and also alot of techniques dealing with food and customer service. The management has been amazing the whole 2 years I've been employed with them. Co-workers are always helpful and are always caring about their team and their guests. The hardest part of my job would be to make sure our guests are always satisfied, we do our very best to do our best and make sure their time with us is the best. The most enjoyable part of my job is to work with such amazing people and the feeling of accomplishment knowing all our guests are comfortable and doing well.

When starting with the company 8 years ago, I loved it's vision and execution and there was a certain mutual respect amongst restaurant personnel and head office/upper management. Over the years all levels of management have been replaced and the vision that made Canyon Creek so awesome has been slowly lost and eventually swept under the rug. 
The hardest part of working here is trying to get multiple levels of management working together to accomplish a simple task. 
The most enjoyable part of the job is the staff and the majority of the clientele. The walls of this location are filled with good people daily.

The company seems a bit lost and unsure of which direction to take. The food is mostly prepared onsite and from scratch which is much better than many of the chain restaurants around.  If a renovation was done and a clear direction was in place it could be busier. Look at the keg...busy all the time. We have similar offerings.  Right now there has been almost zero information on what will become of Canyon Creek due to covid19. Still not open as of Aug 17 except for airport location and many employees are left just waiting and guessing if/when it will reopen.

Working at Canyon Creek has been a very big blessing as it has given me valuable experience in the work field. 
It has also taught me the importance of communication, teamwork, efficiency, and working under pressure.
The co-workers are amazing it feels as though we are a big family.
Upon starting there the team members made me feel at home.
The head chef and sous chef are two of the best people I have ever met and extremely good chefs.

Canyon Creek Chophouse is where I learned everything I know today about the restaurant industry. I am very grateful for the opportunity I was given by them to become a server. In the beginning I was surrounded by extremely veteran servers but slowly they started to go to other companies. Unfortunately, support  from management wasn't always present and other restaurants quickly scooped up the veteran staff.

Wonderful people to work with. Leaniant, reasonable, and considerable management. However, favouritism played a major role in this job's environment. Your position would depend on how much they believed in you. However, they do not take chances with new people or teach them what they need to know to be better.

Well everyday I would learn something new, I would come in to work greet everyone, change and get started on my prep work. Sometimes I would come into the lunch rush, but I like the fast paced work. My co-workers were always friendly, and the servers as well . The most enjoyable part of the job was learning the new dishes, mainly learning something different.

Good place to work part time. Not something I would want to do on a full time basis. Great for students. High turnover in staff and Management but everyone was friendly. Worked there a long time ago but was not able to pass on review when applying for another job. Indeed should make this an option not mandatory

Not only do management slack and not care about the restaurant. The corporation above does nothing to promote the restaurant other than Coupons. It is extremely over staffed, and incredibly hard to afford anything unless your one of 5 people who can close the restaurant.
