Cape Breton Regional Hospital is a great place to work, people are friendly and helpful, care given there is top-notch, everyone works as a team.
You worked after you were trained on a particular job, from morning till mid-morning break, then until lunch.  After lunch until 4 or 5 PM depending on the job you were doing. The atmosphere was relaxed, sometimes fast-paced; but generally happy.  Co-workers were always friendly and eager to help you.  

The hardest part of the job was having to leave.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the feeling of belonging, and general atmosphere of caring.

Management worked with their employees professionally and were always friendly and always put you at ease.

I loved the actual work as a housekeeper at CBRH, but it was not a secure job. I was a casual and was pretty much told that a casual position was all I should expect out of this job for a long time to come. I applied for every job that came up but somebody already working full time would apply, take it for six months and then go back to their original spot, in most cases. I was given no hope in finding a full time job so when I found one elsewhere, I left the hospital.

NSHA is a great place to work.  I am consistently learning new things and I am really enjoying my time there..  If you like being busy a lot then you will enjoy working here.

I worked at the hospital for 20 years. Meet and worked with a lot of wonderful people. It is a very busy place. You have to be patient and caring. The people you are there are sick and scared. It can be very stressful at times. 

Would not recommend working here as there is enormous issues within the organization and management in regards to bullying and advancement within your career is extremely limited as it as a rural hospital 

very competitive, stressful, rigid, biased, not much fun, lots of tattle tales, management is swayed by who works there the longest, lots of abuse for new nurses, no real protection, nurses do eat their own here, Not an ideal place to work, not very safe

A very active place. A very friendly, professional working environment. An ideal location as it is central to much of the Cape Breton Regional Municipality.

Senior staff was very helpful.Always there to help and teach new skills.Always got breaks on time,supervisors always understood business of the floor.Supplies were always available

over all good place to work no stress and the people were great there to help out with evry thing they theach you great and have great training there staff great

Great staff in all departments, lots of opportunities to learn and move forward. Everyone is very supportive and patients are always kept at the forefront.
