Capital Engineering

Working at Capital Engineering was a solid experience, especially if you enjoy a technical, detail-oriented environment. The projects were multidisciplinary, which meant working closely with mechanical, electrical, structural, and process engineers to develop work packages for industrial projects. A lot of the work involved digging into specs, ensuring designs met standards, and coordinating with different teams to get things done efficiently.

The company had a strong focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions, and there was a real emphasis on accuracy and documentation. The work could be fast-paced at times, especially when juggling multiple projects, but it was a great place to build technical expertise. Collaboration was key, and while there was a structured approach to projects, there was also room to problem-solve and contribute ideas.

What is the best part of working at the company?
It’s the people my co-workers from the Corporate Management to the staff were so nice, helpful, friendly and respectful. It’s one of the best company to work for. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Stress will be experienced in every company so it’s how you handle and manage it. 



What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work as a Team, work with pleasure and work respecting each others. I truly enjoyed working there asides from the 4 days working schedule. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Everyday that I go to work is a day that I always look forward to. It’s always a great day after. 

I knew that whenever I encountered some problems with the projects that there’s always people to lend their hand and expertise.

I started at Capital during the pandemic so have been working remotely so far. They have taken a lot of care in keeping everyone safe while also leveraging technology (Teams) to keep everyone connected and the collaborative culture going during the pandemic. 

This company is busy and has high standards so expect to be challenged and have many tasks on the go at one time.  

They have many offerings for a smaller company including competitive benefits, RRSP matching, sick time and many employees work 4-10's and have three day weekends are opt for another flexible schedule available. 

Capital is a great company to work for with a casual working environment with a great culture.
At Capital you are made to feel part of the 'family'.
Management are professional yet approachable and are very 'hands on' taking an active interest in the day to day running of the business.
A big plus is the on site Gym for all staff AND a games room with Table Tennis, Air Hockey, Foosball and some old school computer games - all free.
Capital is definitely a positive working environment.
Many companies can learn a lot from these guys!

There is little communication and often we don’t know someone was “layed off” until days or weeks later. They need better communication from upper management. People that work hard don’t get proper recognition. Old and dated software, management are too cheap to update the programs. More training opportunities, especially for the juniors. We had treat Fridays, but we had to bring our own treats and it was not optional to participate.

Field works and operating the cutting machine

Working long time at night during overnight

I have good time working at the company 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Fixing rebars  according plan  and making sure the work is done correctly

Capital Engineering is an excellent employer that builds an exemplary work culture by building teams that work well together and  focusing on their employees' well being. Working for Capital Engineering has been a great experience.

company has been recognized for a few consecutive years as best places to work, flexible work setting, high caliber team members, nice office design, larger size client basis, participates in most of social fundraising in the community

The organization is very flat and does not offer any type of growth, towards a higher position or within your role. Management is very closed minded and very fake. Training courses are only offered to very few people. Favoritism is a huge issue with this company.

Flexible hours, good pay, help for families with young children, on site gym, and friendly environment.
