Capital Staffing Solutions Inc.

I applied in person to a waste management company and they directed me to Capital Staffing.  They hired through Capital.  My experience from the outset was great.  I had worked for this same waste management company before without Capital Staffing and the process took over a month before I started work.  With Capital Staffing i spoke to a lady at about 3pm and the next morning I was at the job site doing a road test and the following morning I was on a truck working.  And the pay is competitive.  For the 12 weeks I'm with Capital before being hired on with the waste company I'm only making $1 less then the regular employees.  That makes a huge difference.  I remember the days of temp workers making way less,  but not here.  I'm well pleased with Capital Staffing.  I haven't had much interaction with them after that because I don't call in sick unless I'm sick and thankfully I haven't been! But all in all I would sign up with them again,  one hundred percent.  

Let me be completely honest with you...this job is not for everyone. It’s hard physical labour, working outdoors in extreme weather conditions for over 12 hours a day, under tight deadlines and unrealistic performance expectations. The trucks are poorly maintained and the mechanics harass and abuse the drivers. Management plays favourites and selectively enforces rules they don’t follow. If you decide to work here, then my best advice would be to always stand up for yourself because no one else will, managers don’t care they’ll replace you in an hour with the next new driver off the street. Pickering (GFL) is a tough location, lots of employee turnover so it’s difficult to feel like you have any job security but the wages aren’t bad for an entry-level labour job. If it’s your only option then have at it, otherwise do yourself a favour and look elsewhere for something better.

Capital Staffing has been good as far as temp agencies go. I have not had any real problems with them and the few people from here I’ve communicated with however they primarily communicate through email which can take some time to get a response back from which isn’t helpful when you have time sensitive questions or comments. I applied for a position as a loader and the actual work not on capital staffing’s end is quite hard but more difficult is the long hours, it does get easier as you go if you can stick with it but it feels like the majority of your off work time is spent preparing for the next day of work or recovering for your current day of work. I am thankful for capital staffing making the hiring process easier but I’m unsure of temp agencies as whole.

I really liked that I was contacted the day after I applied. The process was simple concise and saved a lot of time for both parties. Jalyn is very responsive and makes sure you feel welcome to reach out for anything you might need. It is great that they have a texting service which makes for quick responses when needed. I believe formal interviews are a way of the past and Capital gets right to the point for what both parties need with the interest of time and recognizing quality candidates and moving them forward.

They really went above and beyond helping me to understand what I’d be doing and what I needed they hired me quick and the job is exactly as described the people here are awesome so that’s a bonus doesn’t feel like work if you love what you do and enjoy who’s around you and learn something new every day and busy 247 when I’m there is exactly what I was looking for 

At first I was unsure about working as a garbage/recycling loader but soon realized there are a lot of pro's to the job. If your the type of person who enjoys staying active, working outside, seeing different nieghbourhoods and towns then this type of work would be suitable. The hours and pay are good and I get a three day weekend (in my region). Also the sanitation workers are easy to work with and humble compared to a lot of other drivers/workers in Canada.

Well I'm going start off with the negatives, so far I've yet to discover any. Capital Staffing Solutions reached out to me within 24 hours of applying for the job, a few days later (on a Friday) I met with the employer they were going to send me out to and began working the following Monday morning. The communication is excellent and they will definitely get you in a position best suited for you

I got a call on a Tuesday and immediately after was sent the paperwork for the job. I was informed for this particular job it would take 2 days to go through everything. My contact at this agency texted me both days to see my progress and as soon as I finished(on Thursday) she got me a position starting the next day. She also texted me every day for the first week to make sure I was at work and if I was ok.

Submitted my information to Capital Staffing Solutions on a thursday, was contacted same day by a representative who gave me a straightforward over the phone interview, and had me placed in a job by the very next day.

Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for work!

I must say they are really genuine and know how to keep up their promises. Just started my job on second day after contacting them . I am really thankful to capital staffing solutions for all that they have done for me so far. Yet to receive my first pay just joined them a week ago. Thanks time and again.
