Having worked at Waterloo for some time, I feel confident in saying it's a pretty good company that takes care of its employees. The majority of the time, the work is manageable, rewarding, and interesting. While it can be fast-paced, the people I've worked with have been pretty interesting and friendly overall, creating an environment which i quite enjoy being in.

Management overall is generally attentive and frequently asks for my opinions on improving processes, which is nice. I enjoy feeling included in those discussions, and while not all of my recommendations are a top priority, I never feel as though I'm being ignored.

The salary is reasonable and competitive for the job I perform. I do think that I work hard and deserve somewhat of a better-paying job, but I've been recognized for my hard work. I've also seen numerous hard-working and deserving co-workers get promoted, which is very justified, and makes me feel assured that opportunities do present themselves.

Overall, I think that Waterloo Brewing is a great employer that offers plenty of perks, a rewarding job, and a good group of co-workers.

A busy schedule but ability to work according to plan for the day and accomplish tasks with little disturbances from arising issues. Learnt that the key to success in meeting reporting  deadlines is planning and prioritization of work and at the same time create time for strategic thinking. The work culture promoted members of staff to plan their work and achieve targets with very little work interruptions.
The most enjoyable part of the job was a chance for one to work according to laid out plans and meeting targeted results with ease because the culture promoted hard work and team spirit from every member of the organisation

Not a forward-thinking company, no concept of leadership. Just people yelling at people. Asking for results without getting their own hands dirty. Company does not invest in workers. Negative attitude from senior staff to start any given day. Preferential treatment everywhere, hard workers work but senior staff/managers take credit. Poor benefits. Lack of transparency by omission. Accidents happen all the time but reports do not make it to WSIB more than half the time. Company would rather gaslight an incident, save insurance by keeping silent and putting preventative measures in place. Management staff and team leads do not encourage breaks but also discourage workers when breaks are taken. Working 12 hour shifts, don’t expect to have a life outside of work

Highly recommend being part of the Waterloo Brewing team!  Great company with lots of potential for future growth and opportunity.  The team cares about employees and they support a culture of work life balance the best they can.  I like how the company is putting focus on employee safety and environmental sustainability.  Its great to be part of a company that values community involvement and partnerships like Octoberfest.  They are open to new ideas and its refreshing to see continuous improvement happening in all department areas.   The weekly beer benefit is an added perk!  Its great to have a Taphouse restaurant here too - to meet up with friends and co-workers.  This is definitely a fun business to be part of and I am happy I made the decision to join this amazing team! 

Great team culture. A place where everyone is learning together and open to improving systems and process, in tune with local and global standards. There is a lot of care for each other & a healthy functioning environment. Work is intense and engrossing. You WILL need to roll up your sleeves and get things done, but the rewards and recognition are worth it (apart from a great learning experience). Systems and processes are still in a developing state which leads to confusion and frustration at time, but this something gradually being addressed. Overall a YES, from my side.

This is a horrible company to work for.. they do not respect any of the employees, they run a 2- 3 shift rotation that is anything but consistent.. you will be given next to NO notice.. u will be told on thursday or Friday about which shift u r working next week.. it doesn't matter if u have kids, family does not matter here.. u r expected to comply, and better keep your mouth shut or u will just be tossed out first chance they get.. on top the scheduling issues, the place is cockroach infested on the floor, production area, and in the product itself, seriously.. and once your there for awhile, u notice the offices r cockroach infested aswell, these ones wear suits and call themselves upper management.. go ahead giveaway another $2.1 million..

No job-work life balance at all if you work in any office area. They demand that you are on call pretty much 24/7 and if you can’t be, you get in trouble. Time off is on their schedule no matter what the reason for that time off is. The culture is very much non inclusive and there are obvious cliques within the company. At times, it felt like I was back in high school. There are the popular kids and the unpopular ones. If you’re unpopular, it’s made obvious to you with how you’re treated. Absolutely zero regards for lunch breaks or even your 15 minute breaks. They don’t care if you eat or drink within your 8 or 12 hour shift. There is no job security at all within this company. A revolving door.

There is very little to no training "here is where you work now, watch this person bye". and the company is VERY poorly planned, starting pay is decent but little to no chance of raises in first few years. they constantly run out of materials "unexpectedly", and have little to no regard for the people working on the floor. 6 day weeks mandatory of a pile of months then cant even pull of a 30 hour week for a pile more. Tghe lay people off due to no work, and dont have enough people to get work done a short time later and are looking for people. very messy and poorly organised plant.

Working in the warehouse as a forklift operator has been a great experience.  It can be very fast paced, but the workload is managed well with the support of coworkers. Every member of the team helps one another  as necessary to ensure overall success. 
Excellent job security with ample opportunity for advancement for the right individual.  Available jobs are posted in house, allowing employees the chance to grow within this amazing company. Within my short time here I have seen a number of people advance, including myself.

I do not understand the negative reviews on here. They might have been in a previous environment but they absolutely do not reflect what the current culture and environment here is. 
There are multiple perks and benefits, the work environment is one of the best I have seen in Production environment, and the welcome and hospitality I have received is nothing short of exceptional! 

I would recommend people even with a secure current job to transfer here if they want to be felt welcome, equipped and part of an excellent  group of people to work with
