When I started at Centennial, I was in an administrative position split between marketing and sales. I learned so much in that role and had the opportunity to work with several departments and managers (not just marketing and sales); It was a great starting point for my career at Centennial. From there, I moved into a full-time marketing role and I now manage the daily operations of the department. It’s certainly a challenging job, but also very rewarding.

The managers I report to are great; a wealth of knowledge and very supportive (both professionally and personally). I also appreciate that our owner’s motto is: Firm, Fair, and Consistent. With it, he has created a respectful work environment and a second-to-none customer service platform.

The best part of working at Centennial? For me, it's that we're a family owned and operated business. My co-workers are kind and supportive and I look forward to seeing them everyday. Like any family, you get what you put into it. Do ownership and management have high expectations of us? Absolutely! But I'm only interested in working for people who push me to be the best version of myself. Not only are we a company who produces some of the highest rated windows and doors in the country, but we strive to fill our teams with the best talent we can find.

I have worked for the company since 2016.
Over the years, my position at the company has grown dramatically.
I was given the ability to advance into other departments and higher roles that ultimately landed me in my current department with the installation team.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The opportunity to work with some amazing people where over time it feels like extended family.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack of communication between departments and quickness of placing blame without working together, instead of identifying the issue and coming to a resolution a constant game of who did it. As a whole this company is very reactive and do not take kindly to proactive procedures or ideas

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Clam to be family like business but there is a large amount of blame to cover up mistakes. Very little to no trust between employees and management. No fully toxic culture but fairly close.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Highly stressful, never knowing who has pointed blame in your direction or if you will be belittled by management for their own faults and short comings.

My experience working for Centennial Windows and Doors as been an exhilarating for me. For someone that had no experience working in a outbound call center, I  really enjoy my experience with the company.  At first it was a rocky start for me but once i got the confidence of calling the customers it was smooth sailing since. Working in the call center I book appointments for the representatives. We work a split shift which takes a bit of getting used to but you learn to adjust to the time.

I've been at Centennial windows for 6 years as an installer, measure Tech and a service tech. Through my years there I have experience nothing but respect and a great team environment! Before coming to Centennial I looked around at other places but they couldn't offer nearly what Centennial could and they have stuck by it! Very flexible if you have kids and a family. There is so much room to move up in this company, if you are a hard worker!  The pay is excellent and the bonuses and appreciation days are even better!!! This company is very team oriented, and every employee is enjoyable to work alongside with. Order Entry proves to be one of the most important, and efficient, departments of the company; the amount of accuracy and prioritization that my colleagues possess is outstanding. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning how to use a new software program that was new to the company as well. An all around welcoming and friendly work environment. Because the company deals with custom residential windows and doors, each order is different, and each job is processed as efficiently as possible.

Work away from the building as much as possible. I learned that you are just a number and loyality is not part of this busniess. Culture is extremely toxic, starting from the top-down, management is very stubbern and quick to pass blame out of fear. Most enjoyable part working for them was driving daily between calls, which some may think thats the hardest part. This is not a place that will spark any nice memories, very few and far between which doesnt say much considering the amount of time I was there. I ended up getting stuck at the top of a deadend climb, which is why I stayed for so long.

Centennial Windows and Doors is a wonderful and fun company to work for. I have worked at Centennial for almost 4 years in the Contact Centre. They are supportive, understanding and patient. Centennial works together as a team to make everyone feel involved and appreciated.

I have been at Centennial for almost 35 years starting in a very junior position working in several departments and advancing to  several  senior positions. It feels like family and that is the most common response I get from my coworkers. Great teams in every department and many employees have been here over 5 years with a significant amount well over 20 and 30 years! Very well run, very fair, and well organized. Producing the best products and services in the industry. Couldn't be more proud to work for such a terrific company.
