What is the best part of working at the company?
The job was pretty straightforward overall. I liked the line of work I was doing and most of my co-workers 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Never know any truth about your future in the company. Leads will blatantly lie to you. And unless you’re friends or family with the leads you’re going nowhere. It comes off as a “you’re just a body to fill a seat “ mentality. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The co-workers are all pretty cool and have each other’s backs. As far as a company culture goes it’s extremely manipulative and they have no problem lying to you to get what they want. Over time is only offered to the favourites. One time a group of us were told things slowed down so we’d be staying home for a few weeks, a month and a half later I found out that the original contract had down sized and we were no longer needed. They didn’t want to lay us off and they needed operators for a future project so they just kept telling us any day now. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Pretty straightforward the job and equipment are all pretty good

What is the best part of working at the company?
The employees. Management not so much.  Top heavy company with all of them fighting for the job at the top of the pyramid.  This company is only staying afloat because of the employees on the bottom of the pile.  They know more about the work than the people directing them. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management.  If there is a slow period,  they will tell you that you're starting back in a couple of days,  when realistically,  what they call days are actually weeks. 
I was in the boardroom while the staff were on a zoom meeting and the manager was yelling and swearing at them.  No respect for anyone below them.  They have no concept of the word team. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
You are a number to fill a seat and if you're any good,  they will work you until you break.  They only remember the mistakes you made,  not the level of good work you completed. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Trying to figure out what we're actually supposed to be doing.  Don't ask the supervisor,  because he doesn't know either. And if he does,  9 chances out of 10, he will have his "pets" in there doing the job.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Offered lots of room to move up with in the company all different work from slashin and tree removal to civil road building. And mine  work hours good pay  . Offered housing accommodations  company vehicles  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working along side the heavy haul mine operations. Road crossings  and mineral fine tailings ponds are stressful to work around all high risk procedures 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good close team work environment. And being and indigenous owned and operated company. It’s a all around great place to work 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Travel to site conduct morning meetings getting permits all signed and morning tool box head count of who’s working in what areas of the work sites and disperse workers to the jobs sites to complete daily tasks . Periodically checking in on each individual work site  or being present for ground disturbance  procedures from hydrovac /daylighting. To mechanical excavations

A typical day at work; you get a task and try your best to achieve the goal that is given or set. I really don't know what I've learned working for this company but I do appreciate that they hired me multiple times even though I'm not local to Fort McMurray.  I'm a seasonal worker, but hope to be full time someday. Management: they have their jobs and we have ours. Workplace culture is diverse but very well structured for the job you apply for. Hardest part about the job?...nothing, I personally think when an individual applies for a job within the company....they ( the individual should just apply him/herself to that specific title) should do what their hired to do. The most enjoyable part of the job is...you get paid to take care of your family. 

Was a great place to work at. Enjoyed working with the supervisors and other foreman. Time off wasn't an issue as long as you gave fair notice. Some company policies I did not approve of but that can be said with any job. Another issue was the unprofessional truck driver/low bed drivers the company had. Most are whiners and are never worthy of the money they get. I could never get the moves done I needed as they usually where late or too lazy to float the equipment themselves. Pay was adequate and use of the company was available to go back and forth to Fort McMurray. Found another job closer to home or else I would still be working there.

I am a current employee of Centerfire and I can honestly say I have never worked for a better company. Management and our leadership group are always helpful; very hands on with the focus on transparency, inclusive culture and a willingness to help. Everyone here has been so understanding and are always promoting a team environment. I find it hard to read some of the reviews as unfortunately people can sometimes be a bit transient. However, in my opinion, Centerfire’s people are fantastic and way above industry standard. You will not regret starting a career with Centerfire.

Nothing good to say about this company and how they treat their employees. Do not trust this company with your future. They have no loyalty or care for their employees.  I learned, working for this company that you can never trust their word. There was nothing enjoyable about my experience with this company and I most definitely would not recommend it as a workplace unless you need it as a fill in type job and don’t be shy to ditch them without an hours notice (because they will do it to you) when a solid job for a good company comes along. 

What's a great place to work everyone was friendly everyone was open offer to help it wasn't a stressful environment everyone's got a pretty good attitude even mangament were great . Only problem with the company was they didn't have much work at the time and I was paying to be there other than that id go back in a heartbeat if they have consistant work . Great guys , mamgment treats the operators like they value them . That is a great thing .

Constant battle for organization, accountability and threatened when taking pride in a machine or a task from the shop supervisor

Unorganized but relaxed and fun

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early morning confusion late evening task completion

Our day would start with a safety meeting, then we were giving our job for the day. We were required to have a H2S monitor on us at all times in the plant, work gear was always a must. Cover alls, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves. As a truck driver I would do daily inspections of the truck I was assigned. I would do most of the heavy hauls, with a step deck or scissor neck trailer. Other days I would do mud hauls with a tri drive or a truck and pup, where we were required to leave the plant.
