On a typical work day I would received email and phone messages from clients requesting various types of information. For example, regarding the previous day's submission of deposits due to balancing discrepancies, which must be resolved within 24 hours.

 I also had to resolve staff issues, train new staff members, provide backup information to other internal departments and open and close accounts  as required on a daily basis. 

The hardest part of my job was at the end of the month, when all revenue and expenses had to be in on the first business day of the new month. More often than not, all the required information was not forwarded within a timely manner.

The most enjoyable part of my job was resolving a clients issues and hearing the gratitude in their voice and hearing them say that they appreciate the work I had done to help them.

Wasted three weeks to get to final round and they rejected me - thanks to the Client Imolenntstion Heads interviewing skills (trust me they were terrible)
They repaired the role - which means probably 3 candidates who made to Final round after hurdling through three long weeks and two previous interview rounds were not liked by Hiring Manager sitting In Vancouver
Reason - because when I was interviewed for final round at their Missisauga office  in a super warm office of a Sales support lead (who had no IT or any role relevant experience) that made me swear with Skype for business giving so many errors and echoing that restrained me and my extrovert skills to be displayed and crack the final round 
Very Disappointed!!!!

Joined Central 1 last year and have loved being part of such a collaborative team. I've never worked with such a big team before. Everyone's been very helpful and supportive.  I really enjoy all of the people I work with. 

Having the option to work from home for the vast majority of the time has been great. The vacation/leave time and benefits package are competitive. I'm glad I joined this company.

I worked there for 3 years, i liked the location as well as the flexible hours and work life balance. 
However they are all about collective collaboration however they are so fast to point fingers at one another, so many egos, and passive aggressive attitudes. Depending on your department and manager there is no support or growth, i applied so many times to move internally and never got any interviews or opportunities for growth yet some people during my 3 years got promoted more than one time.
The pay grades really doesn't help as the people that make more than you definitely act above most people there.
I it was a good experience but would not want to work there long term.

Leadership, management and culture are extremely poor. Onboarding does not exist and no one is accountable, no one will ever provide assistance and their is absolutely no trust within the teams. It is the most hostile environment I’ve ever worked in, harassment from teammates and leadership is dealt as something ordinary. Technology is very outdated.

Rotation is huge, that’s why they are always hiring. People don’t stay working there unless they have no other option. The ones that are still there are working for over 10-15 years and are still there because they are outdated and not ready for the current job market 

My advice: run if you can!

Central 1  is going through positive and meaningful change. It is a collaborative environment, there are friendly employees,  a great benefits package and the ability to work remotely 
The executive leadership has become more open and transparent,  there are monthly townhalls where employees are encouraged contribute opinions and ask questions to the leadership team

Worked here for almost 15 years.  Direct management and most employees were great people. The big issue C1 has came about a few years back when new Human Resource management  was put in place.  Everything went batshit crazy from that point forward. The HR department needs to take out the word Human and none of them, especially the management have any skills what so ever in dealing with employees.  Instead they seemed to whatever upper management  wanted them to do, no questions asked. Told bad as really was so great to work there with wonderful fellow employees.

Worked there for 15 years. At first it seemed like a great company and the hr department was very well run. Then over time new hr management came in place and the entire company started to go downhill. The company itself is struggling to stay relevant as credit unions merge and become bigger they are in less need of Central 1. I don't see this company lasting much more than a few more years. They have already outsourced their pension and benefits department, closed down central risk insurance division and most employees are concerned for their future jobs.

Pleasant to come into work daily.  Co-workers are fun to work with. Great team work.  Sometimes there are treats for staff from management. The hardest part of job is the pressure of meeting deadlines. But with teamwork and focus, everything works out.  The most enjoyable part of the job would be food day.  The occasional pot lucks are fun.  Excellent in getting to know your fellow employees and experiencing different cultures and food.

I worked in the Risk Management department for a year. The people were very friendly and supportive. My understanding is that though all organizations want to employ highly skilled people, Central 1 places alot of weight on personalities that will fit into its current culture. For example traits where people are willing to learn, stay engaged and add to the supportive and friendly corporate culture.
