Overall, my experience has given me sharp commercial acumen and business management experience as follows:

•	I played a central role in breaking new ground into what is now a highly profitable business arm of the Group.
•	I drove major improvements in risk/controls and processes, contributing to over high turnover.
•	I have gained thorough business knowledge of the end to end Lifecyle of a profitable business. 

Involved in a number of roles in Centrica plc for the past 12 years, I have a plethora of experience leading and being part of high performance teams. I have worked closely with heads of departments (Business Development, Quantitative Analytics, Finance, Backoffice and Frontoffice) to deliver growth targets and had the pleasure of working directly with senior directors to manage and control not only the business strategy and growth agenda but also business as usual.These projects span across many systems such as Openlink ENDUR, Sharepoint Online and 365.

As Commercial Delivery Manager/Senior Project Manager and Business Control Analyst, I led the breakthrough into new and structured business, managing complex high profile projects and working closely with other functions to produce high quality internal and external results. I achieved significant efficiencies in adopting new methodologies by adapting key processes whilst delivering low costs and enabling high revenue and growth for the trading business.

i really enjoyed my job on a day to day basis. from the beautiful landscapes that i had the pleasure of working in, too the cooperation and guidance of fellow co workers. i learned a lot about the transportation of natural gas and oil through pipelines and facilities. i would say the hardest part of my job was working in highly dangerous atmospheres with h2s gases. i try to learn as much as i can in any surrounding. the only thing someone can never steal from you is your knowledge. in which in this state of employment i reached my limit of learning and advancement, which is the reasoning for my search for something new and exciting.

Management was psychotic and extremely unfair, played favorites and made decisions / promotions knowing full well it wasn't the right decision for the team/ area. Was not a responsible producer, management made calls that did not put health safety and environment first. Taking short cuts and relying heavily on safety equipment and shutdowns risking spills and loss of containment.

The sale to Canlin energy corp. fixed none of this as all good management left before the sale and the worst management stayed with the new company, one superintendent in particularly. 

Terrible company, wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

The hours are good and flexible
Pay and benefits were ok and competive within the market
Safety standards is very good
Fleet vehicles well taken care of 
Management lacked knowledge of industry 
Office staff very negative unsupportive and only there to keep chairs warm very unsupportive.
Field techs are very good and knowledable
Change took to long and suggestions were ignored 
Hiring process takes a month or so to actually start work
Work quality not supportive all about high pressure sales
Expect way more out of a person then what the person  is paid to do
Work culture not good

Over the last 2 years multiple employees including two long term VP's have left this organization.  Turn over is high and there are questions as to why they are not paying their vendors on time.
Do yourself a favour and investigate fully before taking any position within this organization. The Canadian company makes all of the money for the organization but was recently partially sold to Qatar.
Most people I know are looking for positions elsewhere right now.

Always a lot to be getting on with.  They appreciate any ideas you might bring to the team - even as a contractor.  A lot of the time as a contractor you are paid to hit the ground running and just get on with it.  My LM was always open to new ideas and treated me like a proper member of the 'permy' team.  It is a shame I could not get an extension due to the return of a permy to the team.

The company as a whole has some real great benefits, however in recent years the role of Engineer has taken a turn for the worse, every day and every target is driven by sales and uplift the bonus scheme, even your pay is all affected if u don't "up sell" and promote products even to the determent of the original job you attend a property for.

Overall, I believe that my time at Centrica was an excellent one. It was a good work/life balance, the tasks were varied and the culture at the company was one I could see myself working as a part of in the future. I learnt a lot about the nature of the workplace during my internship, such as the business environment, and most of all, my work colleagues were wonderful individuals too.

There are unlimited opportunities to advance and grow your career at Centrica if you're interested. The company has undergone tremendous change and growth so there's a need for smart and fast paced leaders that understand working in a global and dynamic workforce. I'm pleased with pay, we get an incredible bonus (high performers) and they truly care about you as a employee and human.

There is a myriad of talent at Centrica that enjoys collaboration and keep things simple to get the job done. 

Most of the noxious personnel inherited during takeover from Suncor is gone, and the remaining people is good to work with.
