Do not believe all the good reviews that were all uniformly written in the same timeframe of July/August. Working here is a legitimate nightmare. This place is extremely disorganized and chaotic. They always mess up your paycheque and short you, and then send you through endless hoops trying to retrieve your money. You have to talk to several people every payroll period, and wait weeks before it is sorted out. You have to chase after your paycheque. If you don't, you may not get paid. It's utterly unprofessional and disorderly.

There is a particular lack of support for teachers. No orientation. A lot of outdated technology and programs, and the blame is on the teachers if they do not figure it out. You never know who to ask for help, as you're constantly being bounced back and forth between different people who either don't respond or are extremely confused and don't know how to help. Don't expect to be valued as an educator, regardless of your experience - it's only about money.

Students are very nice and polite but they walk into class whenever they want, and often don't show up at all. Students are added or removed from your class at any time and any moment's notice. The blame isn't on the students, but it is on incompetent administration. You can not expect students to be orderly and disciplined when administration is not.

I understand that a lot of companies have people create reviews for them. I know this because I and others did very bad reviews for a previous college and they just kept having someone to good reviews. This is not one of those reviews. 
This college is extremely well run and managed. I know this because I teach management and I have had my own business previously. This place is fantastic. It's not perfect, and trust me, that you will not find it anywhere. However, this is about a close to perfect that you will get.
Let's start with the executive management. They do what executives should be doing, that is strategic management and not trying to meddle in the work of the teachers. They really do focus on the future and navigate the direction of the college. The managers, however, provide direction, feedback, and support to the teachers. 
The other teachers provide amazing support to each other.
Honestly, I love working here. Even in the online environment, I look forward to my job. The hardest part of the job right now is making connections with the students in an online environment.
If you are looking for a job whether it be teaching or otherwise, this is a place you should consider, I have been working my whole life, and this is one of the best environments I have worked in.

I have been working with Cestar College for 3 years. I like the flexibility I have to just do my work. 

The College has several personal development sessions per year. They also supply a comprehensive development session for their Instructors as well as the pay for an external course that helps you to be better at your job.

If you are someone who would prefer having someone to go to for resources and expect to be fully trained and prepared for your role, this may not be the place for you. The expectation is that you will come on, go through orientation, which will be a lot of information, and go out and figure things out. In other words, you need to be very independent and self sufficient to feel like you are succeeding in the initial stages. If you do not have that type of personality you may feel like you are drowning.

My recommendation for part-time Instructors is to find an Instructor who teaches the same course to connect with and get guidance from them. The Instructors are very helpful and friendly, so prepare to build relationships.

Fake fake fake…beyond fake. If I could rate the place a 0 I would. But, in all seriousness, humanity is a huge aspect this workplace lacks. People may seem nice initially, but in reality, if you are a hard worker, you won’t get the merit you deserve. Don’t waste your potential in this place, you don’t deserve it. The management team does not deserve a hard honest worker. What they appreciate is someone that adheres to only what they want or else you may be out of a job. If you are looking for stability, growth, and a work life balance, this is not the place for you. Stay away while you can. 

This is another private college community College  partnership with 100 per cent international students and a cash grab with no academic standards.  This school like all tge other career college community college partnerships was just a scheme to overcharge international students. They could be absent. No one cared. No one failed. 

A typical day at work is dynamic and engaging. My day usually starts with a team meeting where we discuss ongoing projects, set priorities, and address any immediate concerns. The bulk of the day is spent working on tasks that require a mix of independent focus and collaboration with colleagues. Whether it's brainstorming ideas, solving problems, or refining strategies, each day brings its own set of challenges and opportunities for growth.

You're better off waiting for something else to come along - the environment is highly toxic with people not staying in their own lanes, bullying, and people who don't know what they're doing and only causing more work for others because they have to clean up their mess.  

Also, don't expect to get a pay raise.

I felt very supported by the management. They are forward-thinking and collaborative. It has been one of my favorite places to work. They leave the teaching to the teachers and make you the master of the classroom.

Fair payment for work is ignored;
There is no concept of financial growth. Your rates will remain the same forever. If you want growth, seek opportunities outside.

Overall, it's a great place to work as the management is very responsible and friendly. There are not many great opportunities to grow, pay is fine, but the environment is great.
