City Clean

At an hourly rate, I enjoyed making more money going on delivery routes that required me to be on the road longer than my scheduled 8 hour shift.

My grinding job in the plant was sort of neat to do. However, being inside the grinding room getting covered in grinding dust was not always very nice.

With only one half hour break after about four to five hours of work per shift in the plant, it felt like a real painful challenge to get use to being on my feet most of the time. So I will not miss that much.

The locker room is in the same area as the lunch room, so there is not much in terms of privacy, when it comes to changing attire.

There is not really an atmosphere of overall happiness there. Even the office folk just want to finish the day and go home. At times the management seem reluctant to provide things needed for the work.They have to be bothered several times, before they comply. That can be very aggravating for I guy that just wants what is needed to get to work. 

In my case, it was too far to commute to and from where I live. Especially, if I had to work overtime, i.e: spend much time on the road on route deliveries.

This was the worst job I’ve ever had. 
The management is dishonest and money hungry. They don’t care about you as an employee. The main focus for them is to exploit you and make you lift hundreds of heavy rubber mats without any consideration of your health. They’ll pressure you to do more mats even when you already had 100 mats delivered. The salary is a joke. You get 20/hour but you’ll work late hours and you’ll slave for them for free. Whatever you work after 2pm is not paid for and you’ll rarely be able to go home early. The training was easy but then when you’re on your own they’ll load your truck to the top and expect you to deliver them all which isn’t realistic. 
And the 4 days a week is a SCAM!! They tell you you’re off fridays but only if you don’t have any mats left from previous days which again isn’t realistic so you’ll eventually have to come in on Friday’s and work for free. 
I’m a hard working person and I don’t mind lifting heavy products but when I feel I’m being exploited and lied to then I had to write this review to save others from applying. 
Simply a nightmare !

It's been clear from working at City Clean over the last six months that there's been a lot of good changes that have happened. There's been a focus on organizational changes that are positively impacting the company that have made a world of difference. There's a much more positive atmosphere and collaboration amongst the teams. 

Clarification: I read one of the other reviews and had a bit of a laugh. It is 4-day work weeks for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), the only reason you would have to come in on Friday is if you didn't get your deliveries done, but that's not due to workload, but more the CSRs ability to manage their deliveries. Since I've started, I could count on less than one hand the number of times a CSR has worked a Friday.

I had about 4 weeks of training to learn the route I was assigned. I serviced the same customers every 4 weeks and got to know them all well. Once on my own I was encouraged to take over the route as my own, without being micromanaged.
Customers were great and would offer coffee throughout the day.
Management was supportive, always listened if there was something to say.
Vehicles are newer and seem well maintained.

I look forward to coming into the workplace. 
The company is focused on being a leader in the industry.
The culture is focused on growth especially in the areas of  inclusivity, professional development and the overall well being of the employees. 

I'm gonna make this really simple. I have never written a review but I feel this company calls for one..
Certain members of management continuously try to justify everything that's wrong....instead even attempting to do what's right.

A typical day involved making phone calls to customers about outstanding debt. 
I learned to stay on top of tasks and to finish tasks within a reasonable time frame. 
Everyone in the office was very polite and easy going. 
it was fairly fast paced so it required skills in time management.

The amount of work base on the salary is a joke. Just remember it's salary. They got the hold on your time not you. 
They got way to many mats in some locations you have to go to. I'm guessing the sales person finds a sucker every once in a while.

Company is horrible pays bad, trucks are junk, managememt are evil the work is extreamly hard on ur body and thr supervisors are complete idiots stay away from City Clean
