The work itself could be really great you get to help our lovely tenants who need assistance with social housing.  The various townhouses and apartments are in need of much care and repairs.
The office culture is really toxic though .  Massive changes and if you make any suggestions for how things can be done in a different way you are seen as a trouble maker.  All instructions and decisions seem to come from one VP, which means delays in decisions and changing course over and over again.  
People are being hired and then quitting and being let go continually.  They have no formal process and  so no one seems to know how to do anything well or efficiently.  Not a great pace to work would strongly recommend that you look else where.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Never a dull moment. No two days the same.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Never enough time during working hours to complete needed pest control procedures. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Encouraged to take breaks but at the same time pushed to complete assigned scheduled procedures, emails, in-person inquiries and phone calls.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Check emails for service, check messages, take calls, schedule repairs, pest control and notices, complete work orders, purchase orders, receive purchases/shipping, data entries.

They go through people like other companies go through stamps!!!!
Management is atrocious they are all over the map and blame all the staff for their mistakes.
All of the HR quit or was fired within a 4 month period!!! They fire anyone that questions some of the decisions that senior management makes.  Other departments that have seen huge turnover Communications, Procurement and the site offices.  
One of the VPs is so inexperienced and is left to run things in the most stressful way that has affected every other department.
Don’t work here the stress and the place is toxic. 

This organization has made some dramatic changes that are better serving tenants and creating a better culture for staff.  Change is tough and the right changes are finally happening. After seven years of working here I finally feel proud of the work we do and the way we are showing up for our customers.  Keep going Civida.

Massive changes happening and so badly managed by the Sr Management, It's complete mayhem , people hired and not having the tools to do the job. No progressive role out so that it could be tested and adapted to suit the environment just massive change with very little thought

This was a horrible temp job that ended in a very unprofessional way with no communication that my performance wasn’t adequate. I came to work everyday and was in the midst of trying to learn a new job with very little instruction when one morning my swipe card for the back door didn’t work and when I followed a coworker in the building my computer passwords didn’t work either. Called IT but then someone came and told me I no longer had a job. A call to the temp agency revealed they weren’t informed of my dismissal either.

Micro management from the property manager

No comments about work culture all internal politics 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Every day is challenging day by improper planning from the manager

The cause and customers are great, but management sucks. Large-scale changes are often made with little to no communication to employees, leading to confusion and a poor experience for all involved. Managers are highly critical of employees and many teams are critically understaffed. Some staffing issues are due to the fact that there’s so many employees on leave across all departments. No parking at head office unless you’re a director or above.
