Never got a raise in 4 years, you get the same pay as a new person, they expect you to work like a supervisor but with no additional pay, stressful work environment. Manager hired lots of 18 year olds with absolutely no experience at all and expected me to train them, even though we had 2 supervisors, which mind you doesn't even know the menu. Huge turnover rate. Never go to the Clarion Hotel as a cook unless you want to be forced to work the line while the supervisors and manager work the back, which is backwards because the strength should be focused on line.

Manager doesn't respect your work-life balance. He made me close and told me he had no one else to do it, meanwhile when I would get off shift, they all would be drinking up front.

Beautiful place  its actually very sad how the owner doesn't seem to care bout the hotel  hours are always guaranteed however  there are no customers and i can see why as there is limited supply of beverages   and the owner puts no thought nor care into it  however  fromi have seen  the owner  like banquets  but warning to anyone taking that position the owner  takes the gratuities  but NEVER gives them to his staff that work their tails off for minimum wage  but they cant say nothing cause they need the jobs so..... the place has issues  is my  reveiw serious issues  and its sad cause its such a nice place

start in the morning cutting greens which was always a challenge as you had to stay away from morning golfers. After cutting we did a cleanup of broken branches and clean other debris from the course usually till lunch then we could trim and cut grass around the clubhouse and grounds. It was easy to work with others there as we would have contests to see who could get finished projects the quickest. I would think the hardest part of the job was working around golfers, the best part of the job was watching people, they would take themselves so seriously, it would always make me laugh.

What is the best part of working at the company?
When there are banquets on, the staff will usually get free food. The food is really good! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was poor leadership and rushed training.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Professional, young workers, fast paced.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Debrief when you arrive, finish setting up, food service, clearing and cleaning. Moving tables and chairs.

You start the night off by heading to the lunch room and wait for the 1st bus. Unload it, label the luggage with colour stickers and take it to their room. Then when they get there they usually look out for you and give a 5 dollar tip or so (those tips start adding up. like $70a night) then once you are done that bus you wait for the next in the lunch room or help out anybody else in the workplace because its nice to do so. rinse and repeat till the night ends

Set out bread baskets, carrying out h"orderves, cleaning the bar, doing room service. I learned how to do room service and handle phone calls for room service, I learned how to properly set out cutlery for banquets. The management was good. My coworkers were kind and helpful. There was no difficult tasks for me during my job. Enjoyable part of my job was meeting new people and interacting with them.

A typical day at work involved making reservations, and doing check ins and check outs.
I learned great customer service skills.
Management was lacking experience and communication skills.
I had great coworkers always willing to help with anything.
The hardest part was dealing with management.
The most enjoyable part was meeting so many interesting people and hearing their stories about all the places they've traveled.

They don’t care about their employees, they just want the job done. It doesn’t matter how many rooms they give you as long as they all get done. It’s extremely unorganized. They don’t order any product. There’s mold everywhere in the building. They just cover it up to ‘fix’ it. It’s beyond me how guests can still stay in that hotel. It’s very unsafe and it should be shut down if it’s not going to get renovated.

The Hotel was so run down with mold issues.
Work hard for them and you were still expendable when they felt the need to get rid of someone.
Promised that no one was to lose their jobs when it changed hands but over 50 people lost their jobs. 
Kept the low paid workers only...not even trained for the jobs yet. 

New owners now but the mold will still be in the walls.  The roof leaked for several years.

Its really great to work if Atlific is Managing the property and you are employed by Management company. 

Atlific is a profession management company and they have proper policy and procedure in place.

Further they provide support and help when ever its required.

They pay you good amount against of your work.
