Each day is dynamic, involving site inspections, coordinating with teams, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high service standards. Problem-solving and efficient time management are crucial to ensuring smooth daily operations.  

- What I Have Learned:
This role has enhanced my leadership, communication, and operational management skills. I have gained valuable experience in team coordination, quality control, and handling client expectations efficiently.  

-Management: 
The management at Cleantech is supportive and provides clear direction. They emphasize professional growth, encourage feedback, and offer the necessary tools to succeed. Their open-door policy fosters transparency and collaboration.  

-Workplace Culture:
The work environment is professional yet welcoming. Teamwork is highly encouraged, and there is a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement. Employees are respected, and their contributions are valued.  

-The Hardest Part of the Job:
Balancing multiple responsibilities while ensuring service quality and efficiency can be challenging, especially when managing unexpected operational issues or tight deadlines. However, these challenges also provide opportunities for growth and problem-solving.  

-The Most Enjoyable Part of the Job:
Seeing a well-executed operation, meeting client expectations, and working alongside a dedicated team make the job highly fulfilling. The sense of accomplishment at the end of a successful day is truly rewarding.

A typical day at work is always different, as I manage three buildings as a caretaker, taking care of maintenance, Move in/ out requests, cleanliness and general upkeep. Working with Cleantech has been a very positive experience, and I’ve learned valuable skills such as problem-solving, organization, and the ability to handle a variety of tasks with confidence. Management is supportive, approachable, and provides clear guidance when needed, which makes me feel valued as part of the team. The workplace culture is professional yet friendly, with a strong emphasis on reliability and quality service. The most challenging part of the job is handling unexpected issues across different sites, but even this has helped me grow and become more adaptable. What I enjoy most is the variety in my work and the satisfaction of knowing I’m making the buildings safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone. Overall, Cleantech is a great company to work for.


--A typical day at work:

1.Handling resident questions and complaints
2.Inspecting common areas for maintenance issues and cleanliness
3.Processing requests such as access devices, enterphone setup, and bicycle registration
4.Contacting trades promptly for repairs in common areas
5.Maintaining garbage, recycling, and cardboard rooms
6.Providing access and support to contractors on site
7.Taking care of various day-to-day building needs

--What I’ve learned:
Patience is essential, and strong teamwork makes a big difference in getting things done effectively.

--Management:
The current operations manager provides limited support and sometimes prioritizes less critical tasks. In contrast, previous  operations manager I worked with was more aligned with operational needs. Aside from that, other aspects are positive.

--Workplace culture:
Coworkers are friendly, supportive, and willing to help each other.

--Hardest part of the job:
Getting everything organized after the construction phase. Many newer buildings have material and workmanship deficiencies, which creates ongoing challenges.

--Most enjoyable part of the job:
Helping people and resolving their issues.

Typical day- coordinating with strata and vendors about deficiencies and making sure all the tasks for safety, cleanliness and security of the building are on track. Making reports, responding queries of residents and emails from all the associated persona.

Taking time to respond to something sensitive and important. Making sure to frame a professional and solution oriented response.

I have great admiration for management of not only of the company but the strata for the place as well. From HR to supervisor and all the staff they respond instantly and be there to explain and assist the team.


I like the transparency; supporting and uplifting people we work with and for.

I am ok with the roles and responsibilities of my job.

Most enjoyable and satisfactory is when residents find their place is in good hands and they appreciate what you do. 

From my time working at Cleantech, the office environment is probably one of the greatest environments to work in. All the people are very friendly and are not afraid to help each other out when times get tough.

Over the years there have been changes, both in the staff and in leadership. The latest group of leadership places a focus on how they can best support their staff to prevent turnover and in turn are taking steps to bring that to the field staff.

Compared to larger organizations, Cleantech is still slowly learning and adapting each year that goes by. There will always be growing pains, as any company has but the work environment is great.

Opportunities are available for each department however since the office environment is small, looking for fast career growth is not always possible. The management team is set, but there are plenty of opportunities to expand and grow your career below the management level.

The hardest part of the job are the Summer months. This is when things tend to get the busiest and the most challenging.

It's a great company to kick off your career while also developing yourself before reaching your peak.

It’s a fun, friendly environment where you actually enjoy your coworkers. The best part is that the company truly respects work-life balance, so you never feel overwhelmed or undervalued

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Sometimes the volume of deliveries and unexpected tasks can feel overwhelming in the moment. It’s a challenge, but most of the time the workload is balanced and very easy to manage.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is high-energy and fun. Everyone is genuinely friendly, creating a culture where people go out of their way to be helpful, making it easy to collaborate and succeed together.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
My day is fast-paced but organized. I start by prepping deliveries, then spend the day on the road. While ad hoc tasks pop up, the friendly team makes everything run smoothly

I was hired as a hybrid building caretaker, which means I handled both cleaning and minor management responsibilities. My day usually included cleaning common areas, doing inspections, and occasionally coordinating with contractors or tenants.
I appreciated that the job offered variety and trusted me with more than just cleaning duties. I felt valued and part of the building's daily operations. The management was approachable, although not so clear in their expectations .
At times, the workload could be overwhelming, especially when juggling both physical tasks and admin duties. It would help if roles were more clearly defined.
Overall, it's a good company to work if you’re reliable, proactive, and don’t mind wearing multiple hats. I’d recommend it to others who want more than just a basic janitorial role.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Nothing at all .. paid the most cheapest rate of  minimum wage and assign you to work everything like  they feel you are being payed 30$ an hour .. so crazy

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Letting thier workers work of a contract of 3 hours in 1 day in a gym and keep on complaining that the mirrors are not being maintained! They think  the worker should stay there for 24 hours wipping the mirors and moping the spil from the urinal.. ofcourse i clean it in 3 hours but after that. But after that ofcourse people keep using it and then they keep on complaining that its not maintained! Why dont  they pay a person 24hours so in 24hours it will be maintained! Crazy

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They treat there workers like slaves and payed minimum wage

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Always hard even on harsh weather no exemption

The add for my position, was misleading and lacking professionalism as was the interview. The salary low for the amount of work to be done. Two week of training to learn a complicated and antiquated administrative system. Top managers reward lazzines over efficience. My efforts to gain an understanding of their system and my efforts to make deliveries efficient and efforts to have delivery driver meet basic delivery timelines got me in trouble with the director of Operations. Weird culture "let them do whatever they want as long as things get done" Things never get done when eficiencent work is trashed as the director of operations did to me. That is translated to the contracts they acquired, never seen a company lossing contracts at the rate this one does. The get many contracts as well but these don't last.

Are you lazy, blame others for your  mistakes, like lots of free time, don' have common sense? You will fit right in.
