First of all, all the bad reviews about this company, which should be called CLEARproblems, is correct. The company is full of problems and hardly any solution. I have several issues about this company and the job I had. I have NEVER, in my 17 years of working ever experienced anything like this company. In the beginning it all seems too good to be true, because it is! It will all start unfolding as you work there. This is what I learned;

1. Management has no idea what they are doing! Everything is a "learning experience". If you challenge them, you're out. They beg for feedback but don't like constructive feedback.

I was on the ACAM team and my old manager had no idea what she was doing. She got mad for no reason, others on the team would tell me she is 'hot' and 'cold'. She gets "frustrated" and lashes out. She rolls her eyes if you ask questions but gets mad if you don't ask questions. Does that make sense? The worst part is that she was not qualified for the job. 
She was managing engineers, engineers-in-training and others but has no degree herself and no BASIC engineering knowledge or understanding of engineering principles. 

2. Most people are fake and act like your friend but are not. It's all a front.

3. They don't teach. They throw you in and see if you can swim and if you can't, too bad. They will replace you. Don't work here, you are better off. Incompetent people. 

4. It's an energy efficiency company that mostly does not care about the environment. Try talking to them about real issues and climate change and they ignore you. 

5. It is favouritism all around! If you are liked, you will succeed. Don't worry about qualifications. This is not how a business should be run.

6. They put everyone in a box. It does not matter how much you know, you must mold yourself and fit in the box. They like 'yes' people. If you don't like following set rules, other peoples ideas of how to do your job (although the guidance changes on a daily), this job is not for you. The guidance is vague and unclear. The support is minimal and everyone is out to get brownie points so they will help to impress management but not actually help because they care about you.

6. RUN. Unless you like toxic environments.

CR is having difficulty finding relevance in a market that is changing.  Apparently a consultancy founded on the principle of being a little smarter than the client. CR’s clients are energy utilities: large, inefficient, and cumbersome.  The energy market is changing and despite many, many growth opportunities in renewable and distributed energy, CR is, like their dinosaur clients, struggling to adapt.

Symptoms of decay are instability in engagements, narrowing service offerings, and following rather than leading industry developments. 

The people that have grown the business are bright, dedicated to a sustainable energy future, and hardworking: they deserve better than a private equity ownership will ever be willing to offer.

CLEAResult provided a good environment to learn. Management team was very professional and knowledgeable. Salary and benefits are below standard and demands on personal time are very high. CLEAResult is ideally suited for a younger professional looking to acquire some excellent experience in a short period of time that can be parlayed into a better paying job in another organization.

If you want to maintain your mental health and sanity, stay away. They will feed you lies to make you stay until they don’t need you anymore and they’ll cut you. There is no loyalty here, management is the worst I’ve ever experienced in my entire 10 year working career. People are incompetent and unprofessional. Favoritism is everywhere. Vacation isn’t great (two weeks, really?). Hard workers don’t get the recognition they deserve and that’s why they all leave. Management has large egos, I can still see it after I’m long gone. Overall toxic work culture. This place doesn’t even deserve one star.

Extremely non-challenging work for an Engineer. All levels of management are very poor (there is no support from anyone and no one who takes responsibility for anything). There are no opportunities for growth and development. The company does not invest in their employees at all, especially with regards to training. There is a lot of favoritism. The pay and vacation time are terrible. The work environment is very negative and toxic. It’s no wonder that this company has a very high turnover rate. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

What a joke of a company. The company is full of clueless and terrible management. Managers do not know how to deligate. They treat individual contributors like they are disposable so there is a lot of turn over. The top management in this office is clearly inept and not fit to run this office. Top management have their favorites who are just bad managers. Other managers are too inexperienced and lack the proper people skills. All the good people left! Be warned.

There are some nice people who work here but unfortunately company is very poorly managed. I honestly dont know how some of these people are in management. It is clear  they dont know how to do their job or manage people and trying to learn on the go. This company is on a steep downward trajectory and would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a long term job.

Senior management  is very lost. Lots of favoritism that leads to bad decisions. Managment promotes their buddies and not the most qualified. High turn over because people don’t want to stay.  Good people are overworked and end up  leaving. Treat staff like cattle and disposable. Awful communication within the company and lack of transparency.  Glad I Left when I did.

Young inexperienced micro managers treat their employees completely terrible, beware because you will get treated like you work at McDonalds. Turn over is super high, they hire new immigrants under contract and pressure them to work long hours just to let them go afterwards.

Decent group overall but was a victim of the new PC government.  I worked remote and had regular conferences with my direct manager.  Program was new and there didn't seem to be a detailed plan on how to roll it out.
