I was poached from a full time very secure job with reassurance that I would have full time employment long term. 2 Months in and there were less job contracts coming in and therefore Inflamax laid off many people including myself. Unfortunately this company cares about their bottom line more than their employees.They lack insight into how many employees are required an consider you expendable.
 
Overall the work environment is above average. The staff are very nice, but the environment is tense when work gets short for the continual fear of being laid off.Because they are continuously hiring and firing it leaves the company with very NEW employees and many mistakes happen. It annoys subjects and most certainly appears badly to the sponsor. This leads to subjects wanting to participate in studies with other companies first and sponsors also wanting to use other research companies to complete their studies contracts and therefore the cycle will continue. Inflamax will not be a long term stable company

Members of the management have no interest in making a good company as they are only in it for themselves. This is the least professional group of people I have ever worked alongside. The actual employees in the clinic get paid next to nothing, siting budgetary restraints, while upper management and executives get 50-100% raises within a year. 
Management does not want to work together and doesn't want to provide resources to people doing the actual work which means everyone in the clinic is overworked while clinic directors work remotely. 
The nepotism is quite unbelievable. The clinic director for her unqualified husband hired and promoted and everyone goes out of their way to get their friends and family hired. 
This is the most toxic workplace I have ever witnessed.

The QARA department at Cliantha is a strong knit team. Wonderful learning experience. My colleagues are always happy to help and always teaching me new things which allows me to grow in my career and experience. The QARA Management is very positive, practical and understanding and always there to help and assist when needed. Very honest and straight forward management- and tells it how it is.

Although salary can be a little better- however we are enjoying a better work life balance and a very positive environment which is something to strive for. The staff are very happy to be at work in my team.


Inflamax preys on recent graduates and recent immigrants so they can have highly intelligent staff who they pay barely above minimum wage. Staff are friendly, intelligent, and kind. Management is abusive. Constant turnover, incredibly poor employee retention (likely because of the terrible pay and the disrespectful management). Lifers are shuffled around between departments despite incompetence. If you need clinical research experience and want to work here, negotiate your pay rate wisely at the onset. There have been no raises for 2+ years.

Lots of potential at the beginning but grew too fast.  There is no typical day at Inflamax for it is always different everyday. Unpredictable which made it unstable. Need massive investment and major updating to compete with other CRO. Employees are their greatest asset and most enjoyable part of one's job.  Badly managed especially after new ownership and recent restructure in last half of 2017.  Company don't know how to keep good, loyal and smart employees, very little room for career growth and one associate director is very personal. No salary increase for regular employees this past 2 years except for executive management. I agree with the other reviews on this website.

Beware working for or with Inflamax. 

Recent changed ownership and what little was good has completely disappeared.  Have not being paying many of their vendors for a long time and have started laying off large numbers of staff. 

Feel sorry for the staff and middle management having to put up with "direction from new owners. Happy for give you a contract to promote you by title and workload, but refuse to give pay raises!  They pile on the work until you make a mistake and then add you to the layoffs.

If you're looking to get your foot in the door, then take your chance, but if you have experience, there are much better places to continue growing with,

What is the best part of working at the company?
Not a place to work at all.  Your career will be slow, company has no vision, no projects and even if they have projects it is the left over of the project that was not do able in India

The hours given if at all or not enough….  Company has had 3 owners in 7 yrs…. That tells  all

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
People have no commitment to the company and pass on the work to someone else … well the company doesn’t care hence the employees don’t too

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Lazy, unorganized, management doesn’t have a back bone

upper management is a nightmare and doesn't even bother to even fake listen to your concerns. staff is highly inexperienced, mainly because of INADEQUATE TRAINING. they expect you to learn as you go, but if you make mistakes in the "training process" you're in trouble. work culture is constant gossip about the company going under, and who is about to be laid off. if you're a new grad or new to canada, this would be a good stepping stone into the industry, but once you get your 6months-1year experience, i'd advise to search elsewhere for real career advancement.

Co workers are OK to work with. Management are not helpful when you need them for answers. A typical day can go from no work just reading SOP's to insanely busy where sometimes there is no flow on what to do next (lack of management). Hardest part is being watched while drawing blood from 10-50 subjects every 2 minutes on time. **That's IF you actually meet your requirements through your employee training sheet log to even do any other task. Need to be observed all the time and get at least 3 yes, 1 from a team lead. That finalizes your ability to do their task on your own. Basically takes a long time before you can actually "work".

There are a lot of learning opportunities in this company; one gets to try her hand at many aspects of running a research study.

They have a set max number of hours that one can work, so there is plenty of room to pursue other things along with the job.

Beware, there are many issues and inter politics at play within the company as well. I witnessed many issues relating to mismanagement, disorganization and Favoritism
