For me as a salt truck driver these guys were excellent to work for. Yes you are on call 24/7 but for me the pay was worthwhile all things considered. Different jobs your mileage may vary, GREATLY, because the job is very weather dependent. If you are expecting 40 hours a week you will be disappointed but I had weeks where I was over 40 hours and I had weeks where I was way below that, that is not management's fault. When I talked to my dispatcher they had bags under their eyes just like me and I really respect a company where everyone is working hard as a team and I really felt like I was part of the team here. I only stopped working for them because I moved away otherwise I would have came right back again this season. I always showed up and was treated well and I loved learning how to operate the equipment as well. I didn't like the newer trucks because they were less comfortable for the driver. But all the equipment I ran was well maintained (as much as possible).

This job isn't for everyone but if you can get through the slow weeks it's all good people right up to the top.

Decent pay, tons of hours, involved and invested management, always New equipment (very unique)

The expectations are a little unrealistic at times, high stress, tons of site time pressure, co-workers that are knowledgeable and not lazy are far and few between

The people are always great until you start finding the lazy ones, the whiners, the over sensitive. So atmosphere starts of great. But deteriorates 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Ran a grass crew. So I was always 1st to show up. Sometimes ide get everything ready, truck trailer, equipment. So when my crew showed, we could just go. Sometimes we did it as a team. Just to keep my boss of my back. I had to push, push, push. All day. Very stressful.

In general, the pay is decent, the equipment is well maintained, your responsibilities are clear and management are easy going people. 
You get an email a couple of days ahead of a weather event, to get you prepared. Unfortunately, the call to come into work is when you are required NOW!
A couple of hours warning would be nice , when able.
Some sort of on-call pay would likely help with the poor attendance and high turnover.

Direct deposit people are nice there managers and employees.

During my employment I have only endured stress with one other employee not my manager., to which he was removed and placed on another team. And it was not a major conflict to begin with.😀🙏

Type of environment that you show up do your job and everything goes smoothly.

Received a text 24 hours in advance show up for you shift get your same team vehicle and run sheet. Practical and efficient., if you want to work longer you can.

Easily the most soul-destroying job I have had. You're placed on-call overnight (with no on-call pay), and when they do call, you have to go in right then and there. Having a proper life is out of the question with this job. As for the work itself, it's pretty straight forward, but weather can be horrendous, the work can get tedious (throwing salt tires you out and covers you head to toe), and some co-workers truly made me feel unsafe to be around. Shifts can last up to 12 hours at a time which is a lot considering you sometimes have to go in with no rest whatsoever. Lasted only a week before I realised that I can't do this to myself anymore. 

It can be a lot of long days working in the heat or freezing cold. Benefits aren’t much and just the bare minimum. Co workers can be great to talk to or just weird. Some supervisors are excellent and some are a bit on the bad side. If you’re not a crew lead/foreman, you’re not gonna be paid a liveable wage. However if you need a foot in the door of working in landscaping clintar is good in that regard. 

great place to work if you are willing to put in a hard days work for fair pay. if on maintenance summer time is pretty repetitive in nature visiting the same sites everyday. Construction seems to be the place you want to be if you are capable and looking for a new challenge every day. people on both sides are great to work with. Winter is much more sporadic as its weather dependent being on call for snow removal at all hours. 

I loveLandscaping, Hated how rude angry&touchy some of the crew members were, Management was stressed,Didnt learn anything& Days R all over the place.

The only part that was good is that they had new trucks and equipment to use

Toxic environment. Poor management. Unethical company
