I would highly recommend not working for this company. Management is extremely awful and they lie constantly about how many hours they can guarantee. They also constantly tell you that every new client they bring in will be your permanent client and then you never see them on your schedule. They add shifts and take away shifts without notification to you. If you have something planned on a certain day they immediately schedule on that day without contacting you and then are upset and treat you like a child belittling you for not taking the shift. The pay is awful and you don’t even do the work of a healthcare aide/PSW most times you are a housekeeper. They expect you to live on 3 hours a week and that should be able to pay rent, bills, and groceries. $55.00 cannot stretch that far. If you take a job with them be prepared to land on welfare. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!!

Comforcare treated good their employees. They are very efficient to the client. The ensure the client are in good hands


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
During night shift. Employees are not allowed to sleep

Its a multi culture environment. 
People have different practices. And different beliefs. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
There's some pressure. To take the job seriously and focus the support the client all the time
The client safety and keep them secure and comfortable to their daily life

the most enjoyable part of the job is working with the clients and caring for them. I get to  develop a warming relationship with them that is caring, loving and wonderful. They make me feel like I am apart of their family, sharing wonderful stories about life and how great life has been for them ; also they share memories of loved ones and their grandchildren who bring joy in their lives. also I enjoy caring for them as if they were my own family , it makes me feel good about myself that I am able to provide the help, the comfort, and the joy when no one else is there for them.

Yes it is a 5 star place to work...though the staff is not very professional...they do not appreciate when you can represent your self...they are annoyed and gets back at you in some way at some time....if you don't have a schedule and is at home for a period of time and you ask them for your record of employment they don't give it to you...mean while you are sitting at home ..Bill's catching up.with you...and they care less...its all about them filling their pocket off of employers strength....

I am only on call as I have other part - time job while in school. I usually work night shift. I learned to manage my time more efficiently.
 I work alone every shift. The manager is very professional and organized. the hardest job is having different clients every shift. The most enjoyable part though is the companionship. I get to meet different kinds of people and learn a lot from their stories

Only apply to a job at ComForCare if you want to live on welfare or the streets. They lie to new employees every chance they get and will never give you the hours you need to work, live and eat. Especially if you have a family. They claim they can give you 40hrs a week but will only give you 3hrs a week once you sign up to work for them. They are very cheap and not worth the time and skill a PSW/ Healthcare Aide has to offer.

I have been working with Comforcare for almost two years , I have learned a lot with working with this company especially with the elderly  those with dementia, I have experience calmness , patients, confidence with my clients. Working with my clients gives me a joy to see that I could help and remind them that we are here to help them in time if need .

ComForCare is great place to work, team here in Edmonton is amazing and support you throughout your journey. Clear expectations from beginning and proper training to help you succeed

Work independently and get support from the office team

Everyday we work to end a living, so life is all about learning. Either from your client or other people. The management has a good leadership skills on how to carry everyone along. The most enjoyable experience is working with a client that appreciate you.
