Despicable agency, unlawful, and if your are a professional you will be bullied.  Basic care is not completed to proper standards, if you speak up about it you will face a reprisal.  There is a reasom why the union is coming in.  Honestly probably one of the worst organizations i have ever seen.  Every other community living is unionized and paid 23 an hour while here you will be lucky to get 18.00 after a raise.  The rest of the money goes to management and vacations.  This agency will attempt to ruin your career for doing the right thing.  It is a bunch of middle aged, uneducated individuals who have been grandfathered in.  More of a factory type culture.  Not enough support, and on-call will not support you in a crisis. This agency still operates on outdated management styles (I talk you listen) and is entirely subpar to say the least.  It is a shame considering how awesome the clientellle is.  Management is interested in money, not making waves, and avoiding issues.  I was always reminded during my career that if not done properly social service can easily becoming human trafficking, and this agency cuts it so close.  Seriously you can apply but I promise in a few months you will remember this review if you read and think, wow, hit the nail on your head.  Best of luck.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They don’t appreciate their employees.  Everyone is just a number.  As long as they have a body(staff) to fill a position they don’t care about experience, training, etc.  employees are thrown into a roll and it’s sink or swim!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
They hire anyone.  Fill time jobs are given by management choice,  friends and family.  Unless it’s a hard to fill position.

What is the best part of working at the company?
No longer work here. But the benefits and sick time were good as well as vacation

Don’t follow policies. Particularly around workplace harassment

Busy but manageable. Again depends on which home you workin and who you are working with

Used to be a great place to work but then the union came in. Next the directors all changed. It all went down hill from there. Long time staff are not appreciated for their knowledge or experience or knowledge of agency history. Seems a lot of long time employees are leaving as they do not feel appreciated or paid appropriately  for their position. Higher ups only want yes people and just don't care about their employees. It's all about making money now. It's really too bad as it was a happy work environment and could be fun at one time. 

a typical day at the Group home as a PSW, depend on the shift, would come in and communicate with other staff about the day. Check medicine were all give for the day before shift change then start to provide care for the four individuals with disabilities. working her taught me to appreciate life more. The enjoyable part of the job is getting to see the ladies when I work with them.

For a company that prides themselves on helping individuals with intellectual disabilities, they fall behind in helping their staff deal with injuries sustained in the work place.  There have been quite a number of long term staff leave over the past couple of years due to being treated unfairly by management.  Lots of red flags that NO pays attention to.  It's really sad to witness.

The home I was working manager was very rude and racist .  She will believe what the senior staff say about new hired.  Manager will blame on you for things u never done and if you ask you will ge told why the manager that u r still on probation. Manager is never available at the site. I will never recommend my friends to this community living

The residents we care for is essential and a meaningful job however staff are not often recognized or rewarded for their hard work. 
working in a group home you cook clean, care for residents, do laundry and personal care as well as plan activities.

The workplace offers care and support for individuals with disabilities. However, the pay is relatively lower compared to other similar agencies. The work-life balance also depends on the primary location where you work and the support provided by your coworkers.

Place is full of clicks.
Hours are all over the place
Higher up in the office is very unfair. She shouldn't be there. 
Overall bad management. Don't work here.
