What is the best part of working at the company?
The clientele are the only reason to work for this company. They are just pure love and it's so rewarding to support them

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management seperate themselves from the front line staff, which became an us vs them mentality. They make rules and treat the staff in a way that shows they have no idea what it means to support the clientele. This leads to on site injuries and a toxic environment.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Difficult to navigate, management only shows up when they are looking to reprimand.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Caring for adults with intellectual disabilities. Depends on the department you work for.

Working with community living has provided me with great knowledge of how to support adults living with mental health as well as intellectual disabilities. The work place environment is hostile, unfriendly and management is very unkind, fake and does not provide support to front line workers. There is a clear divide from upper management and the actual workers, they are treated with little respect and very little care. The best part about working for Community Living was working with the people supported, sadly the horrible working conditions made it unbearable to continue to work there.

A place where the people supported and the staff that understand the real meaning of this position are wonderful. This workplace is very stressful and does not have good work/life balance because of poor communication from its leadership. The Management is not clear on its direction because of poor communication. 
This is not a place where you can advocate or express your opinion.
The culture of this company has become very toxic.
The best part of this company are the people supported.

When you leave. Horrible managed. No loyalty to front line workers

Having coworkers do nothing and get paid the same wage.

REVIEW OF EARLIER ACTIVITY BY OUTGOING STAFF, REVIEW OF M.A.R. , DOCUMENTATION , SUPPORT OF INDIVIDUALS NEEDS, ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION , MEAL PREPARATION, ORAL HYGIENE AND SHOWER IF NEEDED, LAUNDRY AND HOUSE CLEANING.
THE HARDEST PART OF THE JOB IS WHEN YOU ARRIVE AND THERE IS TOTAL BEHAVIOUR ISSUES AT THE SAME TIME.

Community Living was a great place to work, like a huge family. New management has turned it into a business where the the bottom line and perception are the priorities. Well being of the people they support and the staff are secondary.

Most staff continue working there because they love their actual job and the people they get to support.

This is a company that is racially diverse. You have to love people with disabilities. There is always something to learn and opportunities to grow. The hardest part of the job is transit. Management is great.

Good atmosphere,Great team,fair management and its unionized,in some homes  you deal with behavior and less physical work but mental work while some home is more physical work.

Workers and actual job are fantastic. Any issues with employees is often due to the unsupportive culture created by management (petty arguments and back stabbing).

they try but there not a lot of funding.  you work many many hours, short staff, you are doing double the duties and sometimes you work straight 14 hours with no break.
