All areas of service are dedicated to engaging people in building meaningful connections. There is a true sense of teams working together to address challenges and do quality work that makes a difference in peoples lives.
I appreciate being guided by an active strategic  plan with priorities of valuing staff and building community connections for a true sense of belonging. 
The work place culture is one of innovation and building capacity as well as  collaboration. Work life balance is promoted and modelled.  The daily work involves a great blend of activities and meetings with people we support, staff teams and professionals. The in person work is valuable but it is helpful to balance with the online virtual options that allow for efficiency and the possibility to work remotely. One of the hurdles we face every day that impacts my work  is employing enough staff to keep up with the demand for service.
It's gratifying that I get to see positive outcomes and results on a daily basis 

Supporting individuals with physical and emotional challenges in their lives.  I learned that inclusion is an ongoing area of work, especially when you are in the community.  Strong advocates needed in this area of work.  Co-worker on the whole were professional, however lots of burnt out staff.  The hardest part of the job was working with people (staff) who did not want to be there.  The most enjoyable part of the job was educating the public about the challenges, adults with special needs face, and changing the stigma attached to this.

Provides the chance to support some incredible individuals and to make a real difference. 

There are many opportunities for advancement and hard work is generally well recognized. Management is always looking to better the company and is very accessible to everyone. 

CVS has very good team environment feel and is a great place to work.

Working at CVS was a great experience for me. I was able to move up within the organization and had support from everyone throughout the management team. Everyone in the organization truly wants the supported people (and the staff!) to succeed and this shows.  You can do a job while making a positive impact in the community! The CVS team works hard but also has a good time. The atmosphere is relaxed but values providing the highest level of support to people. I would not hesitate to recommend others to work at CVS!

Management was great, position itself was great, tiring but very rewarding.
Pay was very good.
The union/board(?) that controls the company does not have the best interest of staff and clients in mind.

Hours worked well with a school schedule. Position was flexible during shift. Manager was knowledgeable, organized and interested in the well being of our client.

My experience with CVS is truly a positive one. I started at CVS as the Manager of Communications and am currently the Director of Communications. I cannot say enough positive things about CVS. They are people focused and very flexible. Their level of service to the people they serve is incredible. Through the pandemic they were committed to all employees during a very challenging time. There is a fun culture at CVS and I've made lots of friends here. 

CVS was an amazing place to work. The individuals are awesome and great to hang out with. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Very knowledgable as well. The supervisors are very supportive and do everything in their power to accommodate individuals and staff. 
CVS did an absolutely fantastic job keeping people employed and engaged during the COVID months. Probably one of the best companies I've ever worked for.

It was my pleasure to work here in this prestigious organization. The management, colleagues and the people you support for are amazing and wonderful people that will give you the utmost support in whatever you need. Very great people to work with. Great experience. The management are very professional and very supportive in every aspect. I enjoyed working for more than 3 years with CVS with all these respectful people. 

CVS has some awesome staff who really do care. Sad that the management doesn't. U can be called in with an hour or less warning and then chastised if not available that quickly.  Very low pay and low kl. per shift with 2 or more clients, usually more than 2 clients. No directive, very little or no on site training. Staff there for longer period are very gossip minded and give little to no assistance, even when asked
