Worked on a short contract with compucom based in Mississauga.

They make you work long hours (12-16 hrs a day) with no days off (for weeks) and no overtime pay under contracts that have very questionable legalities. They don't want you asking any questions about any of the technology on which they have not even trained themselves properly. They don't know how to cultivate long-term relationships with technology professionals.

They provided training that was ultimately useless because it was irrelevant to the actual job in the field. They don't have the proper training materials and they don't answer questions they just get defensive if you ask them anything. Even technical things related to your job. Management treats you like you're the problem if you ask a question about something that doesn't follow from their poor training. 

This was consistently the case. People just don't speak up because most of their employees are new immigrants and young people who are afraid to speak up about the severe problems inside this company and its subcontractor companies. 

Their jobs are okay in terms of pay if you can get a short-term contract. But they have poor training, shady contracts and treat you like a throw away as if they don't want long-term relationships with skilled technology workers. 

I was looking forward to working with them again but I will not be applying for any more jobs with them after the way that I saw them treat myself and other subcontractors.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working at the company was the amount of knowledge I gained. CC is understaffed intentionally, and as a result, people are doing 3-5 roles at a time. Drinking out of a firehose is a great way to learn, albeit painful. Once you exit CompuCom, you are amazed at your own resilience and knowledge. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The lack of integrity, maturity and know-how of Executives. Additionally, when you sign on for one job, you end up doing 3-5 roles, and you are expected to perform above expectations. It is unrealistic, and leads to a high-stress environment with a lack of empathy.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unfortunately, it is toxic. Leaders will say one thing to your face, and turn around and stab you in the back. Empathy/caring is not included in CompuCom's values, and as a result, Leaders are ruthless and extremely immature. The operating committee even has a name for another side of the operating committee who are mean - 'The Mean Girls'. And this is the C-Suite of the organization. People that are very high up are permitted to bully/harass other associates when they are called out on their integrity. It is a vicious environment. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Gruelling. Doing multiple jobs is not possible in a normal day. Be prepared to work upwards of 12+ hours a day there, with no compassion or empathy for the work you do.

You come into work, sign into your phone and CTIOS (which is essentially clocking into work). Every move you make is recorded on CTIOS; when you are ready for calls, when you go on break/lunch, when you come back from break/lunch, how long you have been on wrap etc. Unscheduled breaks are allowed, however, discouraged. You can use the break time for bathroom visits but getting up for a walk or coffee is not allowed. You are to remain on Ready for as long as you can so you can take calls. You are to work on tickets when you are not on a call. 

2) I have learned quite a few things with regards to drive mapping, network printer troubleshooting, VPN setup, Citrix, etc...

3) Management style is a little strict. You are constantly reminded to be on 'Ready', you are sometimes called out for taking too long on a call or wrapping up a ticket etc. Also like I mentioned, unscheduled breaks are discouraged unless it's for a bathroom break. 

4) Workplace culture is actually pretty good. Great people to conversate with, relatively regular events such as BBQ's and appreciation days. 

5) Sometimes difficult to troubleshoot an issue when you are not physically there. 

6) Colleagues are well rounded and often fun to conversate with.

If you want the life sucked out of you, then this job is for you.  If you want to work hard, never get promoted, never get a raise, never get recognized, then this is also for you.  Every year that I worked at this placed even with positive year end reviews; not once was a merit increase provided nor a bonus.  Even being the ONLY reason why this company secured a large multi-million dollar contract with the provincial government, and promises of a raise and a promotion; I was instead met with - nothing.  My boss actually hired over a dozen people all directly related to the project and hired a second-in-command who had no prior experience in this project, and tells me that there is no money left.  The company pays far below company standards.  The CEO makes promises and lies that protects top executives.  The only "perk" of working here was working from home - which was great because I didn't have to see the faces of co-workers who were severely lacking social skills let alone proper education to form even one grammatically correct sentence...imagine using that kind of "knowledge" when dealing with clients.  A truly terrible company to work for.  I wish them nothing but failure.

In a typical day in my current position I fulfilled management in the facility, as well as training new staffs and over seeing their work. Throughout the day I completed various administrative duties as well, including answering phones, drafting documents and emails, filing and greeting customers. I also provided strong customer service and resolved customer issues.
I learned to work in under pressure through managed my department alone without any supervision for 3 months. I developed self confidence level, problem solving skill. 
Management require to communicate with the client and their customers, vendors and resolve the issues in timely manner alone or as a team.
Adaptably work place, whoever works here helps each other to resolve the issues in work. As long as task completed management is happy about it. 
Hardest part of the job is sometimes it’s hard to make customer happy. Always need to be on the loop to resolve the issues. If one day off there are many emails and request to catch up it may cause back log.
Once I knew the system, and experience and the work culture I’m able to work alone and as a team as well. I’m exploring myself to resolve the issue.

CompuCom pays it's employees extremely low - from the Tier 1 helpdesk agents (hired through an agency & fulltime agents), to the Managers.  The worst in the industry.   They encourage employees to get certifications, but this is only to their advantage, so they can advertise this when scouting for new clients.   This is not an incentive for the employee themselves, as it doesn't result in any merit increase.

Management is expected to bend over backwards for the client, and to have their cell phone attached to them, 24x7.   If your team also works 24x7, be expected to come in overnight to perform your reviews, and work until 5pm or later, with zero extra time in lieu or pay.

The atmosphere is above average and they do have team events; however, all managers have different leadership styles, so it all depends on who's team you were on.

Also, senior managers tend to misrepresent their skills with the client, in order to become their favourites, which goes a long way here.   The best and most talented are not promoted, only those who suck up to the client.   Senior positions are not advertised, as part of a competition, they are handed out to their favourites.    

Also, the CSRs need to consider becoming Unionized.  It would be in their best interested.

•	Managed Incoming emails from staff, followed up with staff and fixed their any issues or concerns.
•	Provided support to CAMH staff through phone, assisted them with their issues through the help of knowledge base articles.
•	Responsible for managing and creating AD accounts through active directory, Email accounts through exchange for staff at CAMH.
•	Managed Shared folder permissions on Network Shared drive for staff at CAMH
•	Supported Health related applications such as Cerner, Power chart. Support included first level troubleshooting and resolution.
•	Responsible for Mobile Devices Activations through BES5, BES10 and ActiveSync
•	Ensured that all calls are logged and updated with clear concise information in Service now ticketing System, aiming for first call resolution at first point of contact
•	Assisting staff MS outlook issues. Experienced in dealing with issues related with MS outlook 2003-2013.
•	Contributed fixes and solutions for issues and problems to knowledge base.

When I started to work here I was told that there are opportunities for wage increase and to move up in the company. After dedicating much time to improve and look to advance I found that the management team I was under appeared to be very biased. 
The job requirements are extremely low at Compucom and they will practically hire anyone, despite lack of qualification.
Hardest part of the job would be dealing with the discrepancies, biased behavior, misinformation, and the misdirection given by management.
Management will request that you inform them of any issue that you notice within the department, my experience is that they take no actions in correcting the issues of selective employees not working despite the complaints of the clients as well.

Over all Compucom was a good place to work only because of some of the individuals that I worked directly with.

The pay increase in non existent, benefits are decent, hours are good, co-workers are fun. Management is poor and does not follow through.

To be fair, I thanked CompuCom that opened the door for me to learn many things and excel in delivering an exceptional customer experience. 

I won the Service Excellence Award 2015. I have proven and exceeded the expectations. I worked for more than 3 years and based on my accomplishments,  I am expecting to move to Tier 2 where I can collaborately work with the team as Knowledge Expert.

All those accomplishments ended up my relationship with the company without pay raise and promotion.

On the other hand, that experience opened up more than 3 job offers with a better pay and benefits and a very good company.

So go ahead if you are an entry level. This is the best place to gain experience and leave after 1 year. You will definitely get more salary as what my previous colleagues and I have. 

Don't bother with a high turn over. Even top executives are saying goodbyes just this early January 2017.
