It's been half a year I am at Laurentide and I couldn't be happier with the experience I've gained in the few months I have been here. I have had the chance to participate in various projects and take on different tasks and responsibilities that have enriched my knowledge of the HR world and have helped me grown professionally. My manager and my colleagues have also contributed to the amazing experience I've had as they are always willing to help and include me in projects where I can participate and add value. 
Since day 1 I have received a warm welcome and the people in the organization continuously work towards making Laurentide a better place whether that is through fundraisers, employee recognition events, team activities, etc. 
I am extremely proud for being a part of the Laurentide family, it is a remarkable organization where your voice will be heard and you will be a part of the change. 

I joined Laurentide just over a year ago and my experience has been amazing. This was my first corporate position and never would i have thought that i would get so much support starting out.  Overall, I was very nervous starting out with no experience but the team is extraordinary!  I truly believe the warmth i felt from day one has a lot to do with the company culture; we succeed and fail as a team! Over the past year, i have been exposed to and learnt so much! What's nice about working for Laurentide is that you are not just a number,  you matter and you are valued.

Lots of inefficiency in the sales process. Long useless sales meeting. Too many people are involved for a simple decision but you get no support when you need help. Most people talk about leaving the company once they have enough experience. You will notice that most people have less than 5 years experience. I do not know who would give a good rating because nobody over there is positive about the place. 

I worked at Control Laurentide as an Automation Engineer. After two months, my Supervisor asked me to install a virtual machine on my Laptop to learn DeltaV as it was very important to learn the company's famous product. I followed the instructions and started to learn it. However, my boss was not happy with my performance and they laid me off afterwords. I didn't know that working at this company requires you to do assignments at home!  

Been with Laurentide quite a few years now, things have really changed over the years however one thing never does, the People are GREAT! Almost everyone is always very helpful and it's nice to see that people stick around, we are constantly challenged both technically and with timelines. Never a dull moment.

Working here several years and consider this a high intensity place with  lots of opportunities.

This is an employee owned company that makes it exciting and engaging...not for the average person seeking just a job (just want  a place to collect a paycheck)

management is fast  paced and are very results oriented...focus on customer is first and foremost / Work process is sometimes a little confusing but as long as you take care of customer that's what counts!

Offices are very nice, many of the people are very smart and fun to work with.  Management however is very strange, like nothing I've ever experienced.  It is almost a cult-like setting (preordained chosen ones rise in the ranks, the rest will rot forever).  Some serious business sense and overall treatment of employees is lacking in my opinion.  Maybe good to have as a job for 3-4 years to have on your resume, but long term, there are better choices out there.

Excellent company culture that draws the right balance between life and work.
While they emphasize a lot on people, they also know how to put you on challenging and fulfilling missions to efficiently contribute to the business and the company's growth in general.
I highly recommend Laurentide to anyone seeking a good career while living a healthy balanced personal life.
