Coram Construction

My day started with daily safety meetings, followed by location of where I would be working.  I learned to work as a team player.  I did what I was told by my supervisor, depending on the job site, some of the supervisors were fair and some were very good to work for.  My co-workers were usually good, there were a few that when we were working together, they would harass me but in all most were good to work with.  I found that the hardest part of my job was that if I was given a new task, because of my disability, certain things take me a little longer to do or to learn. I enjoyed getting up in the morning and going to work, and working at the different job sites.

This was probably one of the best companys I worked for, 7 am starts sometimes earlier. I learned quite abit in all aspects of the construction industry. Co-workers were awesome they always made going to work fun. Hardest part of the job was letting it go to further my career else where, the most enjoyable part was being able to work with a good group of guys. This is a good company to work for.

Enjoyable company to work for, with good incentives.  Co-workers were very helpful and knowledgeable and good to work with.  What I learned was patience and attention to details.  Management was very Informative and patient, were always willing to help if a problem arose.  Hardest part was waiting on sub-contracters, so we could continue our job.  Working with other co-workers and finishing a project.

I was a labourer are job was to work at heights and strip concrete forms stack materials and clean up. I learned the hard work that goes into constructing buildings, ladder safety, fall arrest .co-workers helped me learn at my own pace. hardest part was trying to keep up at first and working outside in the heat and cold but being outside was also was part of the fun

I really enjoyed working for Coram i learned a lot in a short period of time and with the learning and evolving came advancements and new opportunities and responsibilities. also the money was in my opinion more then fair i think they are the highest paying on average for this particular industry.  

I have always enjoyed working for Coram , its a very positive workplace with the help that you require to complete your tasks .You are never on your own its a team effort from management to laborer .

Challenges such as building report, gaining customers trust and learning more than one department and the needs of each customer aren't always going to be the same

constantly evolving job always staying active and moving.  never the same job site twice nor the same people. sometimes jobsites were so big it feels like you wouldn't see anyone for days, and other times so small that you were bumping into everyone else

The carpenters and foremans Very demanding and always rush to get ready and made many mistakes causing the concrete crew to struggle placing and finishing , concrete crew and foreman were a pleasure to work with on the new Rider Stadium in Regina

They were a great company for me. work ran out and such is life. always kept fully employed with lots of hours until there wasn't  any. because they worked with pcl they kept a high safety standard.
