A typical day at work is making sure the teams that I manage (four crews of 6 people) are prepared and have a clear tasked schedule for the day. I will discuss the game plan with each team captain and make sure they have the correct tools and directions to meet their/our goals. Health and Safety is always our first priority I will confirm each individual is aware of those on a daily basis and that they will make others around them aware of faults should they arise and assist each other. I will then commence my reports, project planing for the day of each crew and the days to come. Each project is unique and requires time to plan out allowing a smooth transaction of the team captains and their crews.

I have mostly learned that good communication is the key to a successful project. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity; therefore the proper preparation of each project is the key to keep the teams success a staple in the environments they work in. There will always be various opinions on a team but its how you comprehend those opinions and channel the positive energy into the work place. That positive energy will eventually manifest into your team and they will be able to pass that on.

Management is management, I am currently one of those members and I have learned that everyone needs to work as a team to keep the balance.

Your co-workers are generally a reflection of the management team. Do onto others as you wish them to do onto you. I feel its important to listen then to offer your opinion.

The hardest part of my job is taking it personal. I put myself into my work and I always expect the most from myself. I challenge myself with fields of unknown trying to expand myself into new job rolls to always allow a flexibility in the office.

The most enjoyable part of my job is seeing the preparation of a project work well for the team and the tasks at hand.

I enjoy working for this company.  The type of roofing the company does is very specialized and the clients are mostly consultants and engineers.  The company is a good fit for me as I get to work on large projects and i learn so much every day.   It keeps me busy and stimulated.
My colleagues are great to work with, really nice people.  A group of us are young professionals mostly with an engineering background.   The senior people have been here for over 20 years and are always willing to share their knowledge.

It’s a place that you would fit in well if you have stronger than average work ethics. It’s a family run business where hard work and ethics are very important to them. They are very detailed and pride themselves in perfect execution.  If you want an easy going job it’s probably not the place for you.  You are on the move most of the day as there are many projects going on.    

Like any job in the construction industry; the day starts early.  I had to get used to an earlier start time but I get to leave earlier in the afternoon so it works out.  The summer time is more intense as it’s the peak season but you can manage to get things done during the regular hours. The salary is competitive and management periodically reviews the salary based on performance. 
  
It’s my first experience in the construction industry and i enjoy it.

I like a busy environment where i can work on interesting projects and learn every day and thats what i found here at Cordeiro Roofing.   The company specialises on large scale specialised re-roofing projects.    Company size is about 100

My day to day work keeps me motivated, i waa never a morning person but im anxious to get the day started and in construction in general its an earlier start.  Between 7 am to 8 am start.  Its not for everone
In general i spend a potion of the day on the road visiting our sites and the other part preparing reports
The clients i work for are very knowledgeable and expect a certain level of expertise and service.  The company is very organised and process driven.  I didnt expect that based on my own idea of a construction company

Management here is stable-  same ownership for 30 years, they stand by their word and pay is on time every week.    Company is Union and peiple have been around for many years

I enjoy my colleagues and my work

If you are thinking of joinng the team i would say that you need to be on your game, honest, do good work and you will do fine

I started with Cordeiro straight out of College.  I had a stable schedule Monday to Friday.  I was trained on my job functions and was quickly able to take on varied tasks that allowed me to get hands on experience in a variety of day to day business functions.

I learned many things about the construction industry and related contracts and documentation.

Management was always very kind and considerate of what my development goals were and accommodated my requests to learn different aspects of the business by allowing me to shadow the trades to get a better understanding of the field work.   

My salary was increased progressively without requesting it which made me feel appreciated..  Overtime was never requested or expected.

They value reliability and a job well done.  Its a place where you need to document the steps of the projects and the work you do on each file.  If you are not a detailed and organised person it may not be the place for you.   If you are not on top of your things they will micromanage you.  If you are serious about work- you will be comfortable there and can grow within like i did.

The most enjoyable part is the informal environment that makes you feel comfortable.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There are good people there who are interested in making every effort to make the company a better place.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Almost everything that comes from the HR. She persecutes people as a joke for her. Every time she humiliates someone, she laughs like crazy. It’s 100% part of the problem, but she tries to participate in everything. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Stressful and procedures are very old-fashioned, no improvements. People are unhappy wherever you look at. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress and people closed-facing with so many troubles and humiliation.

I began with Cordeiro straight out of College. I had a steady agenda Monday to Friday. I was once skilled on my job features and used to be shortly capable to take on various duties that allowed me to get arms on journey in a range of day to day enterprise functions.

hey fee reliability and a job properly done. Its a vicinity the place you want to file the steps of the tasks and the work you do on every file. If you are now not a distinctive and organised individual it might also no longer be the region for you. If you are now not on pinnacle of your matters they will micromanage you.
The most exciting section is the casual surroundings that makes you experience comfortable.

I wasn't happy working for them. They force you to work long hours, check every single step, we had to write daily reports on every single activity we did during the day, work under stress, no organization, no proper software nor programs for this type of business, crazy old ways of doing things and I could go on and on. 
I do not recommend this place.

The fact that a current employee has rated it 1 star should be more than enough to show the quality of this company.

Long hours are enforced, no lunch, unfair treatment no set standards or policies in place, Human resources does not exist and very poor treatment of employees

Salaries are well under industry standards.

You can earn lots of hands on experience in variety of tasks, 
The General Manager is always available to listen your views and ideas. 
They appreciate your thoughts. 
They offer lunch now and then, Great team to work with. Pay scale is pretty good! You will get bonuses and raise every year!

Although we have early start, it is a very pleasing environment to work in. 
The boss is very accomodating and understanding.
The only complain would be the benefits, that are below the average company.
