Going through an acquisition was fairly difficult, as expected, communication to employees did not coming quickly enough though. Open communication all round needs to be worked on - from management and HR.

The people are what made my experience pretty awesome. Making the effort to integrate with other departments is well worth it. Typical days were busy within the HR department with a fair bit of upheaval due to a whole new team coming in mid-2017, but we (HR) worked closely to build a better employee experience and put in place processes to aid recruitment, changes benefits and salary fairness.

It would be great for the Company to get behind some of the social initiatives suggested, and see these as both short & long term employee retention strategies. Small morale boosters go a long way. It isn't all one sided, I do believe that the employees need to facilitate change with a little ownership too.

The physical office space needs work, as currently it's not very inviting and is dated. Unfortunately, there is push back on this important element. Cambridge is supposed to be a fintech start up, and the space needs to reflect that. Not only for clients but also for the all important employees who are there 9 hours a day.

There are some really amazing people that work at Cambridge and you can really create your own little family. Overall Cambridge is a good place to work and is heading in the right direction.

A typical day at work would be reviewing new applications and conducting research on new clients. Collecting new client data, analyzing for errors and validating information. New projects can be asked  throughout the day and special projects are given depending on new products or acquisition of special clients. Every client and project is usually different, which give you chance to learn something new everyday. Management and colleagues are helpful in keeping you up to date on regulatory and policy changes. online webinars and conference are encouraged, and the company covers most costs. The management are always helpful, and give you the knowledge and time to grow within the organization. New ideas are always welcome and encouraged. Friendly co-workers and very knowledgeable, they are very understanding on new employees and take time to teach. The hardest part of the job I would say is explaining and trying to develop a culture of compliance throughout the organization, especially to traders and sales. Overall I would say its an amazing organization, you are aren't just a number and your ideas are excepted and implemented very quickly.

This is certainly a company that puts their own needs before yours and I never felt more like a cog in a machine working there. 
They have heath benefits, otherwise all time off is unpaid. They recommend you put in a sick day if you're late which you don't get paid for, even if you work that day. 
There is zero flexibility as we have to put in time off way in advance but will be asked to work extra days spontaneously, which set up a very poor work/life balance for me. With this position specifically, I would have to let my team know when I clock in, clock out, go for lunch and my other breaks, etc. 
The job itself is very stressful as we are expected to take on every request at the same time, no matter how much work we are already doing. 
I definitely liked some of my supervisors, although we were extremely micromanaged. We are constantly being monitored and asked why we're not doing more work. We have recently adopted a new system that makes our jobs more stressful but easier for our management to keep tabs on us. 

Our day begins with any important news on the state of foreign exchange market performance reviews around the world for that particular day and how it may affect different markets buyers and sellers.

This provided me with the knowledge,of what prospects to focus on, what products and services to offer and the ability to up sell,  i learned to complete analysis of companies financial statements (if available) i learned to optimize time for better results,to recognize buying signals from prospects. 

The entire management were always supportive as was my co-workers.

The hardest part of my job was, when i over sell and lose a prospect.

The most important part of my job was closing the lead for follow up.  getting,my weekly quota and pot luck days. Almost every day was full of laughter and fun.

Then this is not the place for you. Cambridge is counter to everything above, if you are seeking any of the listed in an employer, run far and run fast.

A typical day at work would begin with checking and responding to emails, making cold and warm calls to clients, meetings both inside and outside the office, some paper work, reading up on the markets for 15 or 20 minutes, finally some reflection on the day and how to improve process.

Management and co-workers were great. Everyone was on the same page.

I learned that healthy corporate culture is the most important thing in a company so that it stays set up to succeed.

That hardest part of the job was having to leave so soon due to personal reasons.

The most enjoyable part of the job was making connections

This company is only focussed on profits and not people.  The senior staff are rude to the juniors.  The president of the global payments division is smug and not a good person to work for.  Middle managers are powerless in terms of standing up for their employees.  Their so called "team selling" approach does not accurately track who actually brings in new business because too many people are paid to touch the accounts without generating value.  It's too bad, because if you love FX, this place is disappointing.

Every year the management comes in and says the pressure would be less next year but comes to the samething. Started with you would only be called to office twice a month to pushing for three days, you never know when they start calling in 5 days with plans of expansion. 

Unless desperate for a job, would avoid it. 



Although I was the top performer within my branch at the end of the day it did not matter, the american firm that purchased the company is aimed at closing branches and downsizing.

I enjoyed my time at Cambridge working alongside a great team however I am saddened that I was lied to by management and tossed aside without any notice.
