While I understand that some employees may have different experiences, I wanted to share my perspective, as I've had a very positive experience working at Cosmos Group of Companies.

Firstly, it’s important to recognize that the job, like many in any industry, can be demanding. Yes, the work can be challenging at times, but it is also incredibly rewarding. The challenges faced—such as dealing with difficult situations or complex behaviors—are part of what makes the role impactful. The job isn’t easy, but the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others and the personal growth that comes with it are what keep me motivated.

As for compensation, I understand the concerns raised about pay, but I’ve found that Cosmos Group offers competitive salaries that reflect the nature of the work. It’s true that the job can be physically and emotionally demanding, but the team is supportive, and there’s a strong sense of camaraderie that helps you get through tough days.

Regarding the work environment, I personally haven’t felt any exclusion or disorganization. From my experience, the team at Cosmos is welcoming and inclusive. Leadership makes a strong effort to ensure that everyone—whether new or seasoned—feels valued and integrated into the company culture. I’ve always felt supported, and there’s an open door policy if I ever had any concerns.

While not every job is for everyone, I truly believe that Cosmos Group provides a balanced environment with lots of room for growth. The work can be tough at times, but the rewards and the opportunity to contribute to something meaningful make it well worth the effort. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a place to build a career where they can make an impact.

A typical day at Cosmos starts at 8 AM and ends at 4 PM. Throughout the day, we support our clients in various sessions like swimming, sewing, and music. We have a captive lunch, meaning we eat with the clients but get to go home earlier. We get regular breaks, which helps keep things manageable, but I admit we tend to get busy.

It has been a good experience. It's a fast-paced job with great clients, but it can get really busy sometimes, making the day go fast. The team leads are super helpful, and an open-door policy makes it easy to talk to anyone. Upper management is around and always willing to lend a hand.  I wish the pay were better (it is okay too, though, as it is very competitive in this field), but I understand it is a non-profit, and the organization tries hard to make us feel appreciated. When we have "long days," coworkers step up to help.

My experience at Cosmos Groups of Companies was profoundly disappointing due to several critical issues. The management is not only ineffective but also notorious for being dishonest, fostering an environment rife with bias and favoritism. Communication from leadership is often misleading, contributing to a pervasive sense of distrust. Employees are consistently overworked and underpaid, with little regard for work-life balance. The toxic culture, driven by office politics and lack of merit-based recognition, makes it a challenging and demoralizing place to work. In summary, Cosmos Groups of Companies fails to provide a supportive and fair work environment, making it a regrettable choice for employment.

Typical day at work is never known. Senior managers have their noses in everything and micromanage to the point of total chaos. 
No one is trusted to do their job and if you try to do something innovative you are reprimanded. 
Board Members do not know how bad the toxicity of the place is. Those who have been there for a long time fail to see how bad it is for new staff. People are hired and fired so much that it is a rotating door and no one wants to get to know anyone for fear they will be guilty by association. 
CEO pretend to be your buddy and be 'one of the gang' but is ready to write anyone up and reprimand them without cause. HR does her bidding and no one feels safe. Avoid this place like the plague.

Working at Cosmos is a privilege, especially when you step into that door, and see those beautiful smiles you will know how blessed you are. Its a positive environment and everyone is happy and welcoming. I enjoy coming to work everyday and the best part is my manager and the team always encourages me, motivates and helps me when I have any question, every days is a new learning of something. . The best part is, Cosmos is a diverse place and you get to learn a lot of things from your colleagues. I meet my co-workers who have worked here for over 20 years and they have a lot to share and help me in my role, that's how we grow together individually and as a team. 

I start work 8 a.m and work with person with disabilities throughout the community. I learn that persons with disabilities can work normal jobs and teach the skills to help them increase their ability to participate in a wider range of community activities.
The management is very knowledgeable and someone you can go if there is a problem.
My co-workers are great and we try to always work as a team.
The hardest part of my job is not getting to close to are participants as some capture your heart.

New Leadership talks about the culture they want, but do not lead by example. Staff are disposable and there is no job security. Staff are threatened with being fired if they talk to each other about wages, bonus etc. There is no set process for people to move up. If they like you, you move up. Staff who have been with the company for a couple weeks are providing training for newer staff. Very unprofessional organization.

Some of Cosmos managerial staff tends to be lacking ethical standards in the workplace. There is a breakdown of communication between management and staff.  There is also an air of favouritism from the different levels of management in this organization. There is also an extremely high turnover rate of positions in this organization compared to others in the same sector, which would reflect on management as well but yet they refuse to see that it could be them

It is very friendly here everyone works as a team here

Come in do your work go on outings and take the clients where they want to go

Honestly, when I first applied for the position, I  thought Cosmos was a Bottle Depot and did not realize they had disability services. When I got the job offer and started my first day, I was very excited as all the staff members greeted me with smiling faces and warm wishes. Are there hard days? Of course, but the team is supportive and helps each other out. Managers are always available and step in when needed.
