typical day at work consisted in serving clients in store and up-selling lottery tickets and merchandise.
I have learned about managing skills, responsibilities concerning the following position and have perfected my leadership as I was promoted to do so.
I am a great team leader with an even greater sense of team spirit.
the hardest part of this job was to adjust with all the management changes that accured within 2months. Having 3managers with each their way of working took some adjustments but was never ignored and was put in practice right away to optimize a good work environment.
the most enjoyable part of my job started every morning and ended every afternoon! (Monday-Friday; 7:30am-3:00pm)
I loved the costumer service I brought to everyone and it was recognized by them, receiving gifts and "thank you's" on the daily.

Nobody gets hired based on they're resume but they rather bring in their freinds and managers date each other which causes huge conflicts of interests.

 Pay errors and unrealistic workload. Schedules change without prior heads-up. Threaten you with an warning if you refuse to come in last minute even tho you weren't schedueled.

 managers don't respect the schedules always late and stay on the phone most of the time in the office talking to freinds. 

The only time they get to work and contribute is when the cordinator is going to inspect the store then they play catch up and ask us to put on a fake smile so that the cordinator thinks we are a solid team. But once he or she leaves, it's back to the same old.

Typical days can be very busy, especially during rush hours and night shifts. I learned a lot about customer service, multitasking, handling cash, and working under pressure. The flexible schedule is helpful for students, but the workload can sometimes feel overwhelming compared to the pay. Workplace culture depends heavily on the store and management team. The hardest part of the job is dealing with difficult customers and understaffing during busy periods. The most enjoyable part was interacting with regular customers and gaining teamwork and responsibility experience.

Honestly I stayed for my staff. I always wanted to make sure they were happy. Although I can’t say everyone in the company is this way I can definitely say there are a fee people within that company that do not appreciate the hard work that the people at the face of the company do. Given the fact that hours were always being cut they expected way to much to be done. Which was hard being at a busy site. They liked to come in and dictate things but hardly even helped or noticed when things are done. It was always “this could be better” or “you missed this” staff should not be going home in tears or feel uncomfortable at work

The job itself is really easy.  The people who work there are usually really nice.  But the company keep cutting hours but adding tasks.  They give minimum salary and if you are hired from outside you will make more than people who been there years.  Recently they pushed a new rule of carting people who look 30 and less and they send people around 25 to test the employees if you fail your suspended 3 days without pay second offense your fired.  Doesn’t matter if your manager or just cashier.  They just don’t care it’s nobody’s fault.  I’m quitting and the only reason I stayed for so long is because of the wonderful coworkers I have.

Working at Couche-Tard has been a great experience. The team is welcoming and supportive, and the work environment is friendly and fast-paced. I’ve had the opportunity to learn valuable customer service, communication, and multitasking skills while working with amazing coworkers. Management is approachable and always willing to help when needed. The job has helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I appreciate the flexibility and experience it has given me. I would recommend Couche-Tard to anyone looking for a positive workplace where they can develop new skills and be part of a great team.

The hardest part is keeping my sanity while I am working there. Dealing with customer, employees, manager, and troll buying skittle after putting Diesel inside their Toyota Echo.

What I believe I learned there? 
Nothing more than we are just some cockroach running their store for the CEOs. 

Management ; you can find a good one or a totally incompetent, just like anywhere else

The most enjoyable moment? 
Quiting.

WorkPlace Culture ; without Coordo, we would be fine. They decided everything but have no knowledge about how things are really going on inside your store.




My typical shift at Circle K would be from 3pm-10pm . I learned how to effectively provide great customer service . During the time I worked at circle K management switched over 5 times which was a bit difficult but overall all the managers were great. My Co-Workers were essentially rendered irrelevant because I usually worked alone . The hardest part of the job was doing the essential nightly to-do list due to being alone for the majority of the shift . The most Enjoyable part of the job was the genuine relationships I developed with a handful of customers.

My work days were always very busy which was great for me because I like to be occupied and have full days of work. I learned many useful skills, particularly when I was the interim manager such as, budgeting, ordering, monitoring inventory, training, holding meetings and more. The members of management I worked with were very supportive and agreeable. What I found to be most challenging was managing the employees, it is difficult to ensure the work is done correctly and completely when there is not always a manager or responsible person present.

The pay they are offering is not the actual pay, employees are paid minimum wage plus a bonus if you are lucky. There is a lot of discrimination and favoritism within the company, and it's as easy to start working there than it is to be let go just because they can. I've seen them fire people over simply not liking them or for health reasons for years. Good managers are rare, I've met two in my years in the company and I knew most of them. They would make me work 7 days a week and sent me into a burnout three times. They had me work nights as a minor. Do not go there.
