Cowboys is a great company to work for; they care about their employees and run a solid operation. The environment is fun, and you get to see amazing shows. This is a very fast-paced, high-volume setting where your bar will be busy for 8+ hours straight, so you need to be able to make 200 drinks in an hour and sustain this pace to succeed. Most orders include highballs (vodka/cranberry, tequila/soda), shots, or beers, which are quick to prepare.

Tips during Stampede are excellent, making it a top spot to work, though many apply every year. Shifts can be long, often until 5 AM, making the 12-day stretch challenging but rewarding.

Drinks are around $10 for a beer or highball. The processor used is Square with tip options set at 18%, 20%, and 22%. While the lowest tip option being 18% is good, having higher options like 25% or 30% could be better. Some places use Clover, which offers 18%, 20%, 25%, and 30% prompts.

House tip/tip outs are around 8-9%, so with an 18% minimum tip, you’re giving away about half of your tips. Typically, you end up with 14-15% after tip out, shared among 6 bartenders and a bar back. Despite this, the high volume of sales and long hours make it worthwhile.

The best bar to work at is unpredictable and depends on the weather. A hot day makes the patio bar busy, while rain drives people inside the tent. Due to this, scheduling favoritism or seniority for bar locations doesn’t occur often. The most important factor is having a strong team, as a weak team can struggle to keep up.

Management is friendly and reasonable, and the customers contribute to a positive workplace culture. Team members are generally great, with everyone working towards the same goal. However, there’s little time for training during Stampede, so it’s essential to already be skilled at bartending. If you lack experience, consider working at the nightclub year-round to develop your skills before Stampede.

I wanted to earn some extra cash and see concerts for free so applied to Cowboys Security team for 2018 Stampede...best decision!! I worked all 10 days and loved every second, the ppl were so great, made tons of new friends, the work was fun even in the hot sun and you get perks like free access to any concerts or even just the tent as an employee...can't get better Stampede employment cause Cowboys Music Festival is ALWAYS the place to be during Stampede!! I'll be joining again this year.

I was there for the summer music festival. It was exciting because you never knew what you were going to get. That being said it was fun but kinda very stressful sometimes. They needed more people to run security so that the hostesses actually had better help and guidance to do their job properly so that we wouldn't have to point out fights and deal with aggressive drunk patrons

It was like a marathon every night to get the drinks out fast enough and I still had a blast doing it. I moved up into Promotions manager which allowed me to plan and execute fun ideas and theme nights. Staff always backed eachother!!!! No matter what!

Stampedes are the key enjoyments to work Cowboys. Get paid to enjoy the weather, concerts and your teams company. Ladies and fellas you haven’t seen all year coming together to rock 10 days of safety and control for the guests coming down. 

Extremely fun place to work, always something new every shift. By far the most 'team based' environment to work in. Management cares about what we think and what we can do to improve. Hardest part of the job is the hours during stampede every year. But we push through

 Management. OK I guess they do their hardest to get the Cowboys music festival ready but I did view humiliated this year. Do it if you want if you don’t

Cowboys Nightclub is a workplace where management is always ready to help and answer all your questions, a place where nobody lets the team down when needed.

Working Cowboys Music Festival was very fun and something new for me. I enjoyed everything expect for my other coworkers as they started drama. I hate workplace drama. 

Probably the worst place I've worked. Moved on and am the better for it. The management cares not for their employee's.  Underappreciated and underpaid.
