Other departments keeps to themselves and they appear to prefer hiring contract workers. Their SLAs are difficult to reach when trying offer good service to callers and you have limited time to complete tasks. Overall it's a good place to work but is a very high stress, high call volume call centre. The level 2s complain amongst themselves in their own private chat about level 1 employees in unprofessional manner so be aware that they are talking about you behind your back. Some are very helpful, but not all are. Dealertrack is very entry level but even if you're not entry level, don't expect to get yourself up for a few years yet and plan to do a lot of overtime possibly unpaid to get there. Showing dedication and being energetic will help you a lot. 

It was amazing to work with Cox Automotive Canada. The work was very stressful at times but your efforts were always rewarded. The leaders were very communicative towards their employees. The company was very diverse and inclusive, and mind you it was not only on papers like other companies do. They believed in product innovation and strength of their employees. Cox vision always aligned with growth of their employees. Unfortunately the Canadian division got acquired, which I wish never happened. As they say good things don’t last. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Employee-friendly. Correctly complete your tasks on time and no one will ever bother you. Good bonus. Best team, managers. Most supportive company ever.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No stress here. Everyone is there to help you or share your load if you feel overwhelmed.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Easy environment, very friendly managers and team, co-workers. Very helpful.

The day can vary depending on the volume of work. Communication is lacking between departments and information does not always circulate to the correct people in a timely manner. Many cases occur where some employees disregard extra work or helping solve problems because it is not theirs. The corporate culture is on the rise but as a location itself the business is suffering from a lack of attention in certain areas of business.

I was able to get in and grow my career very rapidly at Cox Auto Canada. They welcomed innovative ideas and solutions and were quick to apply them. Leadership team was very easily accessible and open to collaboration, conversation and mentorship. Great culture and people to work with.

Hardest part is managing work/life balance as it can get overwhelming

Great place to work, my manager and leadership supports me to to do the projects I preferred. Good career opportunities and collaborative environment. So much support throughout the pandemic, through communications, new offerings and financial subsidy support. Direction and support towards employees from the President and senior leadership is very noticeable. So grateful to be part of such an organization!  

Micro management runs this company from the highest levels.  Corporate managers are hypocrites with messages to staff and actual practice of running business.  Harassment issues are often overlooked and not properly addressed from customers and staff.  Promotions and hiring are based on an agenda and not actual skill levels which puts incompetent people into supervisor and management roles.

Was ok management at one time ,then hired new ones who knew nothing about the business ,then it all went down hill!!     Working in all weather. I learned all aspects of the business by myself.      Got fired after having 2 months off after falling on ice in parking lot.   This was my thanks for nearly 20 years service. I have had to have back surgery since my fall. I wouldn't recommend this company for a job.

Impossible to achieve anything tangible at Cox Auto Canada.  Objectives and goals change weekly with the President overseeing all aspects of daily work in every department.  No autonomy to make any decisions if the President or her team don't have input first.  Reactive work (fire fighting) and not progressive at all.

Work life balance, nice people, PTO days, manager support, stable work environment and a good atmosphere
