True independence, very casual atmosphere, but Big Brother is always watching. Very trendy, own pub, poker table, table tennis, projector TV in a Theatre seating meeting room. Everyone has a Mac laptop, underground parking, even for your bicycles and showers (kinda strange they are off the parkade). Only $ 175 a month to park and it's heated.

Friendly staff, and the Directors are all super nice.

Lots of great clients and CM gives some opportunities to work in other offices around the world.

All the perks, are to make up for the lower wages, but in the end you loose out.

Great social club.

Benefits are basic, sound great in the interview until you realize after 90 days all the small print.

The general office has a really great culture, but it breaks down on an individual level. All of the employees that advance do so because of their friendship with management. The HR department is unreliable at best, as they also give preference to their friends. The pay is incredibly low and you will need to fight tooth and nail for any advancement there as well. The clients are big and high profile though so they look great in your profile to move to a better company.

I love the people that work here. Work is work, whatever, it is what it is. The true gem in the Crititcal Mass walls is the people. I've never felt more comfortable around a group of people and feel encouraged, inspired and motivated to do great things. I dont think this current role is for me, but I'm looking for postions else where within Critical Mass as I would love to move up in the company, which there are countless stories and examples of happening. 

Not a lot of support from mgmt when constantly having to fight for resources in order to deliver to deadlines.   PM management sits in New York and their approach to leadership and support was giving more lip service than anything else.  Felt like a production farm  There was not a clear path to advancement.

I learned so much at CM in time I was there. Co-workers are some of the best in the business. Lots of pressure to work long hours.

my day to day was a normal office job. My colleagues where awesome i knew people from all the departments. Management was helpful and pleasant.

I would recommend anybody to choose CM for their career development. Its a highly collaborative enviornment with room for growth. 
Highly recommended.

I felt a bit out of place being a 40-something sysadmin in an office full of 20-something creative types. Still, was a fun place to work, and I looked forward to going to work there every day.

Critical Mass is an example of a large company with a large team of very friendly people.  Well organized and very professional.
New hires are properly directed right from day one.

fast-paced, however, not much room for advancement/mobility. For someone mid career or looking for advancement, may be better to consider somewhere else.
