Training for all positiins is non existent, most production managers are very rude and do not give you proper tools to do the job correctly I had to do alot of guessing... get in trouble for doing somthing slightly incorrect eventhough I've asked multiple times for proper training for the position that I never got and was always told yes we will give that too you.. alot of pressure is placed on you and you have to always keep people working at all times or you would get introuble if someone is standing for a minuite. The un organization is unbelievable running around the building to find people to talk to about work orders or supplies we need to do the orders, numbers are not usually accurate and would regularly fake numbers on paperwork. They fired people who went above and beyond for the company and loved the product to keep people who don't care at all about either. no communication between departments in the company. So we would get alot of mixed information..Horrible place to work right before the 6 month raise they will lay a bunch of people off.  Super toxic!, most of the people in the work place are great to work with and talk too and will be dearly missed. I could go on forever about this place

There is no routine and they steal an hour of your day for mandatory breaks (that you spend in a cramped kitchen/board room). I frequently made it clear I had no interest in being in charge of anyone but we would get shuffled around rooms where somehow I would be told I was responsible for 30 temps (we were always understaffed, like 1 full-time staff to ten temps usually), This would result in me getting frequently reprimanded because these people clearly didn't care. They also would frequently change start times and be really pushy about you signing a document that said they consented to that. They lied to me about my benefits during my interview. Oh, also Management was terrible at managing time or something because they would frequently burst into the room panicking about some massive order that was all of a sudden due in an hour? I could go on for hours, but seriously stay clear you can do better!

First things first, the management does NOT care about its employees. A large number of people were laid off before they were to receive benefits and pass the probation period. Even more people have been fired without cause. People who did GREAT work for the company and made them a lot of good product. One of the last things I remember taking place before my departure was one of the main leads and ONLY person who could operate one of the main pieces of machinery there, was training a second hand for the room and after they finished, the lead got fired without cause. 
This is a prime example of how management works there, and I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy. Absolute clowns.

If you value your health, avoid smoking their stuff

i worked for this company for about a year. I loved the job and loved what the job brought for me. But once issues regarding the safety of myself as well as others it seemed like management didn't want to do everything they could do to help. I was struggling with harassment at work as well as outside of work (the harrassment outside of work stemmed from causes at work), and when i brought the issue up with management the answer they gave me basically said "sorry, can't help" and i wasn't given any options or ideas to fix the issues EFFECTIVELY. i felt very underappreciated by some of the staff sometimes because i could work as hard as i physically could and never was told i was doing good at my job, so i was consistently questioning my abilities. and taking time off felt nearly impossible because employees are expected to give a months warning for any time off needed due to the way the schedules were suppose to be released but half the time i didnt know my next weeks schedule until the day before. i, personally, didnt feel safe or appreciated at my job while working for this company. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Honestly the best team of people I have ever had the privilege of working with/for. Just GOOD people!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When district supervisors or head office  visits 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Amazing! This is THE best team to work with. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Store opening procedures to get ready for the sales day.  Greet customers with exceptional customer service and be knowledgeable about all products, recommend featured or sale products, up sell, and establish rapport with customers to build regular clientele. Work with management to follow strict adherence to company and SIGA cannabis laws, policies and procedures.   Exercise Cannasell knowledge at all times while loving your job and the regular customers.  Typical retail day, it’s just cannabis, rather than clothing, etc.  Best work environment I’ve encountered in nearly 27 years of retail experience.

Weak management, excessive workload, toxic work environment, inadequate pay, and little sense of job security. Employee concerns are often overlooked, and morale is generally low. The company needs major improvements in leadership and workplace culture.

Some members of the management team are qualified, but the vast majority seem to have been promoted for reasons other than merit. Once in these roles, they prioritize nepotism and favoritism, creating an environment where personal connections matter more than performance or fairness — much like the systems they came from in their home countries.

Wages are among the lowest in the area, and to make matters worse, workers are often sent home without pay because there’s not enough work to do, sometimes several times a week. This makes income unpredictable and unreliable.

Overall, I strongly recommend avoiding this company. Even other employers with a bad reputation offer more stability and better treatment.

I was with Decibel for one year, When I was hired on I was assured of quality, and honesty. I realized very quickly after this was not only untrue, But a bold face lie. I had countless interactions with staff identifying and resolving major issues in production, and products. To then be gaslighted and ignored. Overall Decibel is a unknowledgeable, unorganized, disrespectful, money pit, that is simply put, An extremely toxic work environment with a turnover rate to match. If you want to work for people who know absolutely nothing about cannabis, and just care about their own bonuses. This is the place for you! 

I worked here for approximately 2 years.
When I started it was not owned by decibel at the time.
It was a fun and relaxed atmosphere.
When the buyout by Decibel occurred it was almost an immediate change.
Slowly but surely they began getting rid of any perks or benefits that this facility had to offer.
By the time I left it had become an unbearable and toxic work environment.
Management is top heavy and elitist.
The general manager is one of the most passive aggressive people I’ve had the displeasure of working with.
There number one goal is cranking out a substandard product.
They could care less for the workers you are disposable.
In my time there I had seen at least 60 people come and go.
If you enjoy a toxic work environment, no room for advancement and being belittled by management then this is the place to be.

They scheduled a 30-minute interview and rushed through their questions with no real engagement. Only when the time was up did they ask if I had any questions for them. I asked a couple, but knowing the scheduled time had ended, I felt pressured not to continue — the tone and pacing didn’t invite open conversation.

As soon as I said I had no further questions, they simply said “Bye” and ended the Zoom call — no mention of next steps, no thank-you, no follow-up.

Despite multiple follow-up emails from my end, I received no response.

The complete lack of communication and professionalism is, frankly, alarming — especially coming from individuals in senior leadership roles. Candidates deserve better.
