Delta Facilities Maintenance

This job is probably only good if you’re desperate for cash. Otherwise, don’t bother. The management is lacking incredibly, they can’t even answer a simple text message. They will ignore your vacation request, or even forget that it was approved. Night shift groomer here and this is what I have to say about this company:
Newcomers often leave within a few days, due to the lack of training provided. They say they offer “training” but really it’s an online seminar that teaches you absolutely nothing about the job. Your leads will scream at you for being slow, even if it’s your first day. If you ask for help, they usually just tell you to copy everyone else which offers 0 help. The leads will talk badly about you behind your back, and nothing is ever good enough for them. The Supervisors are so bad at managing and dividing planes equally, so expect to be running all night. Also, they refuse to provide break until the end of the shift. If you tell them you are tired and you want to take a break they will lie to you and say that there is no choice. NEVER do overtime for this company. Once you accept overtime, they will EXPECT it from you. Sometimes they will even force you to stay late. If you do apply here, keep track of your hours. This company will cut your hours, so please make sure to always check your paystub. And they offer 0 benefits. 

I been with Delta for 3 years..typical day..clean coffee room, load and turn dishwasher on, clean up in kitchen, conference room, sweep and mop all hallways, use machine on floors that require it..clean 4 bathrooms..with mirrors, toilets, urinals, splash on walls, sinks, replace toilet paper and paper towels dispensers, replace soap in soap dispensers, sweep and wash floors, walk through building and take note of any changes to building and decide the work load for the day..often consisting of cleaning stairway, washing the upper hallways, and alternating cleaning the rooms on second and third floors, taking garbage out from all rooms, taking out recycle from various floors
Letting supervisors know when something has changed within the building structure every time..is very important..
Is very dangerous position working next to utility lines..must wear proper PPE at all times when required.
Must have security clearance to work at my location
Management seems to have changed hands..so not sure what to expect now..has been ok until now..only working 6X/month..not enough money to survive..hard to get full time job when working casual position

The people are awsome, and there exist a Great team spirit

The company is now in transition from family bussines to a more professional style

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment and culture is focused on supporting the customer more than anything else. Sometimes to much.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Everyday a new adventure at the airport

This company should not be operating,  because the people who work in company for years take very good advantage of new people and allot of politics as well affairs & favors on daily bases. Work schedules change in a blink of an eye without any prior days notice and they say on AD We pay overtime -No they don't 
If you are new they will pay for few days after that they say -sorry company wants to cut down on overtime and people working for long do overtime everyday basis.  Basically you will be doing 2 or sometimes 3 people job .AVOID AVOID THIS COMPANY 

I recommend you apply for delta facilities maintenance!!! The work needs fast and collaborative colleagues but be ready to work with colleagues with diverse cultural backgrounds

I was a repair technician of a scrubbing machine but unfortunately they only pay me 8 hours a day when going outside calgary for a week or two. Travelling time is not included on my time especially travelling at edmonton and other far places. They only pay me 8 hour for a day even when spending 3 nights outside the calgary.

This company clearly doesnt care about the people who work hard . This company has more outgoing -meaning people leave job in few days rather staying beacuse there are people given favours & given easy job while new people work twice hard . When you say something they teouble u more . This company doesnt have manager why old managers left beacuse of poor management

The DFM has most toxic work culture i ever had. No aappreciation on good work but how you lick the foot of the leads and supervisors. They expect to please them in unprofessional level and if you do not comply they make your life hard. Do not recommend to anyone. but if you do not have a job , it will be easy hireing.

Pack, stock, organize and rearrange products in warehouse
Drive, vans, trucks, passenger cars handling warehouse materials
Supervise, plan and assign work to staffs
Training new staffs
