I started my career at Diageo in August 2011 with a first supply chain job. 
My rigorous backgrounds in engineering as well as my previous work experiences have given me the opportunity to not only strengthen my analytical and scientific reasoning skills but also to build strong relationships with stakeholders in an international environment.

My current position in the European Planning Team has helped me understand the supply chain complexity within Diageo while learning the planning roles of the department.

I have been delivering weekly production plans for two production lines located in two different plants. I have a full vision of the supply network, taking into account market forecast, orders, demand and supply constraints, exceptions to the plan, inventory, customer service and product innovation.
The second aspect of the Diageo network planning is the supply management of a SMR market (South Africa). It gives in-market insights by doing strategic replenishment and working with demand and logistics to ensure OTIF delivery.


It’s important to be unbiased when reviewing past employment.

- Diageo Amherstburg pays well and has a lot of potential to be a great environment.

- The marketing language on “team” and communication does not apply at this plant.

- Some of the worst communication and disfunction I have witnessed within a company. Management does not lead well and it shows throughout the overall group.

A typical day in work was concerned with managing the currently ongoing projects and reviewing the 24 hour operation of a number of different pieces of plant. This would require extensive work and review of the running parameters and was taken on by myself due to the high impact nature this process had on site waste. 

Following from this, I would also spend a section of my time everyday investigating and scoping future possible projects as they arose.

I love working as a brand ambassador for Diageo! The management and training was a little different that the norms of working for a larger business as the training was done entirely as a conference call but other than that bit of a rocky start, the position is wonderful. You allowed to be yourself and socialize with other while sharing your knowledge of the products at hand. If you are ever able to get a position similar to this, or with Diageo, I would highly recommend it!

I worked for this company for 3.5 years and by far was one of the best employers I had. However I hit a snag which no longer allowed me to work and live in the United Kingdom, and the HR function was incredibly unhelpful in trying to assist me or help me with some of the personal situations in my life.

I would love to work for this company again despite the shortcomings from HR.

No day would be the same in this role, which was great, you never knew what was the next item you would need to manage.

Extensive travel, fast pace environment, working with great teams and managers, made this a fantastic role.

At times there was no life balance just work but the satisfaction of watching a great event that you had help to create was worth the loss of personal time.

However, company is making decisions to improve their numbers of financial statements at people's cost by continuously transferring jobs abroad to cheaper countries. This makes you feel unsecure as you are not sure whether you are going to have a job next week. During my 3 years in the company it decreased number of people in Canadian demand office from over 200 to just 50 people and continue to move toward that direction.

Good management team, focused on delivering business objectives and ensure success of talents but there are some members that need to improve their capability in helping talent's career progressions.
Productive and fun workplace with WLBalance

Work place culture was terrible, but i supposed this is to be expected with larger businesses, there was a blame culture with a focus on looking good and self promotion as opposed to doing good. 

Most enjoyable part of the job was being exposed to some world leading innovative programs

Very unorganized, but good environment to work, there is a lot of close working conditions which is nice, although there are a lot of communication problems between shift supervisors.
