The pay draws you in, the generally light-duty work makes it physically manageable and the team effort put forth by the union employees makes it a win.

Consists of Union workers working hard, because they appreciate what they have there.

Unfortunately, Management  get their own orders from above, which are expected to be followed through on.  This sometimes places them in a position where they must find balance between their bosses and the union workers.  They aren’t dictators but compromise is not always an option.

Professional environment where people interacted in a professional manner and respected each other.  Plenty of collaboration between staff, departments, executives.  A feeling of belonging and value.  Everyone I worked with was supportive, caring and helpful.  A great team of individuals where great progress was made in all areas of the business.  Unfortunately, they moved the HR function into the US which caused a few of us to lose our jobs.

The hours are long, but the team is dedicated and inspirational. Managers and executives alike have an open-door policy making for good communication throughout the organization.
Targets are demanding but the social outings and team-building excursions are always fun.The industry is dynamic so emphasis is placed on strong analysis, quick decision-making and diligence. It is hard to keep an adequate work-life balance.

A large global company with lots of opportunity for international placement and relocation. The local leadership genuinely cares about their employees but the financial restrictions placed on the them by the larger organization sometimes prevents purposeful action to rectify real local concerns.

The training was very good.  They try to implement very good safety procedures but once I actually got working I saw on many occasions leaders disregarding the safety procedures they were trying to implement.

Too  many changes every day. There were new rules every day. No work life balance. They want robots with no opinion or brains .they want you to shut up and do what they say.... its to bad it could be the best place to work but corporate greed and bonuses gets in the way

Highly recommended by me! I loved working there and I have retired from there and wish I was back. I enjoyed my job, I was a mechanic. I started on the line then they sent me to school to become a mechanic. I enjoyed it very much. If the line went down we were there to fix the situation. I highly recommend this company.

Fast paced. Nice balance of mental as well as physical. Management works well to provide work/life balance. My co workers are like family. Supportive & team oriented! Physically ...can be very demanding. Freedom

Great place to build a career.  Plus thsre are opportunities to live and work in other countries. Therw is definately pressure ro be the best but you're rewarded when the company has success which I never had before so thats cool too

Working for Diageo has changed tremendously over 10 years. Jobs have been cut in half(like many places), forcing people to do much more work. Pay and benefits are wonderful, but may not make up for the lack of advancement opportunity given. Co-workers are great, but mainly local to the Amherstburg area.
