ELECTIONS

Fast paced fun place to work, very organized and structured, meet lots of people.
There are many different jobs available during elections as well as before the time of election.  Before the time of election help is needed with the revision.  Now the system has been updated so now a lot of the revision is done online.  Back when I did revision it was door to door and then back again a couple more times to the same door to verify and to confirm the information.  I am very glad that the system has been updated for the revision, as it saves taxpayers a lot of time and makes the election experience more efficient.
As far as working at elections, some of the jobs that I liked best were doing the Advanced Polling Elections in the City Hall for the busloads of Seniors and Elderly people.  I really liked all of the jobs that i did with Elections and look forward to doing more in the future.

enjoy life i do a lot of volunteer work, a lot. just today i volunteered with young mothers and mother's expecting for 4 hours doing their nails. I also take part at Wendat I will try any activity out their..hiking snowshoeing, swimming, gardening and try to get others involved.

This was a one day job from 7am to 7pm. I was responsible for	checking voter’s ID, registering and updating voter info, setting up the voting station and keeping a record of the votes counted. This job involved a lot of interaction with people who wanted to vote. My co worker and I were seated beside each other all day and we got along very well.

Managing certain areas of a community and being able to talk to various people and try and educate them more about the upcoming elections was a great way for me to improve on my social skills. I was also able to learn more about office management when trying to introduce a new candidate to voters.

This was a one day job in which I was very social and dealt with many customer concerns. I also aided customers when required. I learned patience and social skills while working as an Information Officer. The hardest part is dealing with angry voters but the most enjoyable is being helpful.

Temporary position 
Paid well but had to wait 4 months before I received my pay in the mail 
No breaks were given but was  able to take 10 minutes to eat a couple times per day 
Long shifts

Elections is a one day event that indeed should not be reviewing, it is bullet in my resume to explain the different elements for my job. Elections with the municipality only happens once every four years and it takes up a big chunk of my time within that fourth year.

One day job - 14 hr shift
Enjoyed the shift as it was my first time working for elections. Fulfilled my duties in a timely manner. Made a good impression with coworkers and higher staff. Intend on applying for this position again

Packed work in a day span and sometimes people were confused with how the voting system and procedure worked. Managers also seemed to be confused sometimes.

Volunteering for the election made me communicate with a lot of people. I have learned many teamwork skills for a few months. I learned how to work to get, finish a certain task on time and organize the events.
