If I could say one thing only, my experience at Executek motivated me to get out of the security industry. My job was at a data center downtown which was by far one of the worst environments to work in. I would not recommend working for Executek, but specifically absolutely NONE of the data centers they have contracts with. The mood at the main building is abysmal, with one of the clients managers terrorizing employees with yelling that trickles down to other managerial staff who in turn do the same thing. The lack of respect for what the guards do (especially the Skywalk guard) has guards openly planning their next moves together, interviewing and looking for a way out. Simple mistakes by the supervisor led to him being yelled at and sent home publicly in front of all other guards without any objection from Executek. The micromanagement, the lack of respect and poor leadership from the client ultimately led to me quitting. The company even tricked me into working overtime on Saturday claiming it was mandatory and later revealed half way through the day it was "optional". I recommend to anyone looking for a security job to work for another company, even if it pays less. DO NOT work for Exectuek under any circumstances.

A typical day at work as an event security officer involves arriving early to check assignments, reviewing safety protocols, and coordinating with team members. My responsibilities include monitoring entrances and exits, checking tickets or credentials, managing crowd control, and ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and performers. During events, I stay alert to prevent disturbances and respond quickly to any incidents or emergencies.

In this role, I have learned strong communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and the importance of remaining calm under pressure. I have also improved my situational awareness and decision-making abilities.

Management is generally organized and provides clear instructions before events. Teamwork is emphasized, and supervisors are supportive when issues arise.

The workplace culture is professional and focused on safety. Team members rely on each other, and cooperation is essential for smooth operations.

The hardest part of the job is dealing with difficult or intoxicated guests while maintaining professionalism. The most enjoyable part is being part of large events, ensuring everyone has a safe experience, and working with a reliable team.

Not much to say really, the company is simply a company like a dysfunctional family. The management team simply is not equipped enough to  hire quality employees, and create quality space for employees.  The mentality behind is hire as much as guards as you can, put them in a position, and so we can get a bigger piece of the pie. Without even thinking, how to work, how to interact or just how to be kind. 
Enough said. No company is perfect, but some strive towards culture, and some strive towards money. 

In order for the company to grow is to really think about quality of the work, not the quantity. I understand it's not easy, nor it's supposed to be. If they read this, know this, I love working in a place where there's respect and kindness regardless of how much it pays or benefits, we are humans after all. 

I wish I could give 0 stars to this company. The management have no idea what they are doing are rude and highly unprofessional. 
They do one thing and say other. do not trust this company. stay clear of them (do not recommend) this company to anyone. 
I was appointed as Supervisor with good pay and signed contract completed training and orientation for the supervisory position. 
went there for work (was offered a security guard position with basic pay) And when I questioned about it I was horribly mistreated in front of other people. I wonder where is the professionalism and work ethics of the company and people that work here of management level. 

Most of the guards you will encounter are very friendly and easy to deal. However, some will go behind your back and tell management about what something you may have said or what you may have done even though it doesn’t effect either one’s ability to perform their duties. This often leads into a dispute and it can have impact on the work relationship. It’s best to keep things short without running the risk. P.S. your co-workers are NOT YOUR FRIENDS.

This company is very supportive of it's staff. If you are looking to advance in your career and are committed to learning, they are always there to help you achieve your goals. There are many different training programs and ways to easily track your achievements to help improve and ultimately grow in your career.

I have been employed at guarda before and all our payments where deposited via direct deposit. I am told by friends that work in the industry that they also get direct deposit, but not at this company! Thy still want you to go into there office and pick up your check which can be put on hold by your bank to clear. Completely old school and cheap company that needs modernization.

Overall, I would highly recommend Executek International to anyone who's looking to start a career in the security field. It's a fantastic company that truly cares about its employees. From the supportive managers to the hardworking scheduling team, everyone goes above and beyond to ensure that team members have a positive experience. It's a great place to work!

Long standing hours, minimum wage pay, almost all the work is downtown, unless you know someone breaks are unfair and often times you are working overtime with no pay. they also take advantage of you working and once you go anywhere close to overtime they stop scheduling you. okay entry for security and certain opportunities, however overall a negative experience
