Old school company with a lot of intelligent and creative people working on the bottom echelons (lots of eng types in montreal). The projects are stimulating, very strong expertise all around. However, really bad execution in terms of implementing vision from management. Virtually impossible to evolve in your role unless someone dies or retires, pay is similarly stagnant and not-competitive to start with. However there is a lot of flexibility with schedule, but apparently depends on your team lead. There is a huge divide between upper management and the workforce, and nothing really gets discussed or considered. Don't pour yourself into this place but it's an ok place to work. The best thing is really the challenge of the work, very interesting in terms of complexity, but a bit outdated.

- Proocess up to 200-250 emails per day
- Process up to 20-25 po's per day
- Revise forecast vs demand and lead time and send requisitions to buyer to place po's
- I was working with one buyer and one product engineer, it was a great experience to work in a small group
- I enjoyed working at Exfo, I learned a lot about customer service and processing orders.

Projects were very well organized with very good planning and execution.
Good work-life balance and flexible hours.

One of the issues was that we were not always provided with enough tools/equipment to be able to function effectively as a team

I enjoyed couple years there, but decided to leave when I eventually realized I was giving more than I was getting. Pay is not competitive, benefits are virtually non existant and not a single worthy training taken.

In a very mature business sector, work and life balanced. Overall is a OK place to work. The travel time to work is around about 1 hour driver, not too bad.
