A Typical day for me is to ensure that as much quality product is produced to complete orders. I have learned how to operate a lot of different kinds of machiney, how to troubleshoot problems that may arise, quickly to ensure production time is maximized. Some of my co-workers are fantastic, very hardworking and easy going. Others like to make things as difficult for you as possible if you do not agree with them. Currently the hardest part about the job is staying motivated to push my guys as hard as I can because there is very little recognition for the amount of physical work that is put in to get the job done.

This company 'prides' itself on having zero abuse tolerance, and displays this on walls as often as possible.  They attained "Core" status, and so they have to "say" that no abuse is tolerated
Instead, management actively and openly abuses "lower" supervisors, and workers and keeps the workers fearing for their jobs one day to the next
No one dares complain and so those who do soon find themselves on the outside i.e. fired, or let go...
They have some good in that they supply workers with gloves, masks, and hi-vis jackets but overall this is a place where only those who 'nose' up to the boss stay around


Pay is fair but not worth it because of how you are treated as an employee by the shift supervisor (specifically the lady on the other shift). you will not be treated proper and will just direct blame at you for stuff you didn’t even do or has no control of. Supervisor has an anger problem and constantly  cussing throughout the shift. overall bad place to work at just because of one person, and the higher ups are not doing anything about it 

They don’t care about you as a person, they will blow smoke up you to make you feel like you’ll go places but you never do. Very unorganized, poor leadership, everyone is at a different pay and not supposed to discuss it with others for that reason. They accept contracts they can’t handle and expect employees to work like machines to keep up. I.e. can only process 100 tons but are taking in 150 and expect it all to be gone. 

I enjoyed the time that I worked at Ecco Recycle (8) months. I gain lots of experience and meet some fantastic people. My supervisor and Manager were great when I had to discuss work or personal matters. I only left because I received a job offer doubling my wage. This place was a great stepping stone to get in the job market.

Me and the other employees were overworked and underpaid. It seemed a common stress that me and my other co workers from pickers to drivers everyone felt overworked and stressed. The workplace is incredibly unsafe. Reporting is a joke and the PPE given is too thin to protect your hands when picking. Training is almost non existent as I was just thrown into picking with little guidance. 

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

Ecco recycling has no workplace safety culture, no safety meetings, always in trouble with OH&S, the General Manager, very set in his ways, always in conflict with him over basic safety compliance, He will ask you to lie to OH&S when they are on site, shut down plant so when they are there, nothing is running. Very hard to work at a place when they don't care about there employees or there safety.

Poor management. Family owned company and if your not family then they don’t care. If you get hurt they ask you not to go to a doctor to avoid wcb. If you do go on wcb, then they will let you go almost immediately when you get back to your regular job! I would not recommend this place to anyone.

High pace job,  no value off loyalty,,, all they want keep running all day which is not worthy,,, 
 
The main manager is good,, but the supervisor complains alot 
Both supervisor complain each other when they both dont have answer they putt blame on driver,,, 


You have a morning meeting then go out to the recycling lines and sort through garbage. It has a small family feel to it.

Management allow bullying over weight. When asked if a pair of safety glasses would fit, the female supervised laughed and said: "probably not they can barely fit on my tiny face."
