Ecofitt Corporation

Ecofitt Corporation is a wonderful company to work for. The Owner and CEO who founded the company in 2005 has surrounded himself with great people who has helped expand the organization from Mississauga and added offices in Montreal, Winnipeg and for almost 3 years in Burnaby BC. I have learned lots about water and energy saving products and helped me get a better understanding on our environment. Got to meet great people who worked with BC Hydro, FortisBC, City Green, BLJC, C3, City of Calgary, City of Vancouver, Manitoba Hydro and so on.

They only hire people on a contract basis. This way they don't have to include benefits. They get rid of their best employees to save wherever they can. Management/ownership is very toxic and really show no loyalty towards their managers, coordinators and technicians. The only redeeming aspect of my experience with this company was my peers and co-workers, they were great! Overall I am glad that I am no longer employed by this company. If you need a job, work there until you can find something more stable and secure.

It's pretty obvious this company has never run a call center before. They have no metrics to measure the good staff from those who need some help. They have a ridiculous number of upper management who seem to worry more about the problems they have than actually doing anything to fix them. 

They also supposedly have an incentive structure I don't think anyone there has ever received from....

Total gong show.

Looked like a good job to start on a 3 month contract.. Was told initially contracts were renewable. Nearing end of the contract most of us were told we would not be renewed.

The last 2 weeks of the contract I was given approximately 20 hours of work. Jobs scheduled in the last week were also taken away. I was hoping this government sponsored program was also designed to get people back to work for longer than 3 months.

Management in the Alberta office was inexperienced and prone to or pressured into making mistakes. The mistakes pertained to growth  mostly, ranging from staffing to inventory to dispatching. I learned a lot about what not to do if I ever start my own venture.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the clients. The hardest part of the job was bridging the gap between field staff and management.

During my 10 month tenure with Ecofitt I couldn't have asked for anything better. I worked with great people, and the culture exactly what I was looking for. 

My team leads, and superiors were always willing to talk to me and greet me when walking around the office. I never felt unwanted at Ecofitt.  

I would recommend working here to anyone! I love the culture upper management has created.

I wish I had a better opportunity to get to know the company. The climate did not cooperate with my particular job. The supervisor was fantastic and easy to get along with/very understanding! I feel that the company supports the environment. They work hard there and have respect for each other from what I saw.

Ecofitt was a great place to work if you were reliable, honest, and hard working.
Typical day at work was:
-Plan out the rout and time frame
-Check vehicle and stocks
-fill gas and/or pick up product
-drive to jobs
-greet customers, be friendly, and provide top notch installations
-recheck stock and enter inventory end of day

Ecofitt has been such an excellent employer! I started working for Ecofitt in summer of 2017 and the experience has been amazing. The people who work the company truly care about making a difference in homeowners lives and the environment. 
I highly recommended working for Ecofitt! They promote from within and offer unique job opportunities.

Ecofitt is a great work environment full of dynamic and hardworking professionals. I have been working here for over a year and have gained so much personally and professionally. It feels good to know that your work has a positive impact on the environment at the end of the day. Overall excellent work experience.
