I extremely enjoyed my job at KW and was laid off due to lack of work. Unfortunately the economy has not been kind to this business. The job was a fast paced admin position that required extreme eye for details and close customer communications which i am very comfortable with.  A typical day was a 12 hour shift where we opened repair orders based on the information provided by the client checking for possible warranty and vehicle recalls. I updated the client through the repair process and once completed, closed the RO and took payment if necessary. Pertinent documentation was uploaded and saved electronically. I learned an extreme amount of information about maintenance to large equipment and warranty procedures/processes. I worked in a team environment alongside a partner with day to day communication with management, controllers, foreman, warranty personal and technicians. Hardest part of the job is updating the client that the cost may be higher than expected and or the job is taking more time that currently reported to them. I enjoyed the day to day work but most of all the people. I excel in customer relations and find making conversation with strangers easy and enjoy making them feel comfortable. Typically customers coming to a repair facility are not happy to be there and it was my job to make their appointment as pleasant as possible.

The work environment was generally calm with a slower, more relaxed pace, allowing tasks to be completed thoroughly. The role provided valuable experience in parts and customer service. At times, interpersonal challenges arose that may have benefited from clearer communication and more consistent support from both management and Human Resources. A more structured and professional approach to conflict resolution could help strengthen teamwork and overall workplace culture.

Kenworth, what else can I say. One of the best trucks ever built. This is where most of my learning occurred. Always on the cutting edge of  technology. The term teamwork comes to mind. Hustle and bustle. Frame shortening/stretching. Rebuilding diffs, trans, inframes, new component install, modifications, we did it all. For the young go getter. Really enjoyed the time I worked there.

This is definitely a place to work if you’re wanting to become the best tech possible. Unparalleled training, the rules apply to everyone including management. To bad the shop I worked at is closing down, the management in the south east location was the best I’ve ever worked with. Health was the only reason I had to leave.

Edmonton Kenworth provided excellent training and advantages to further oneself.The oilfield down turn affected my job security and advancement. The hours were excellent and the salary was very good.

Working for Edmonton Kenworth gave me the tools to work well in my field, and helped me to succeed at my job. I enjoyed the challenges I encountered in the trucking industries and was always encouraged to explore new options to satisfy customer's warranty issues.

Huge shop, knowledgable mechanics and foremen, good benefits and fantastic wages. Worked there for just under two years and learned alot. Could be stressful at times due to the high expectations that come with being a dealer technician.

Was soo stressed daily to work for a cold managed and operated company, an assistant manager that still works there that sat telling stories in the service department 90% of the day. You would have to be an special individual to work there. Sad.
