overall company culture is good, co workers are nice, and there are company events, but the pay is really low. I heard even the programmer's salary is below the market range...

If you apply to deployment or client service (operation department), I suggest you NOT even bother. The department (not the company) has really bad management; micromanaging and does not show respect, basically ruins the company. Think about why the turnover ratio is high. The company should really consider replacing that position with someone else. 

Basically you are not allowed to talk during work. When you say bye to your co workers after your shift, the manager would be like are you off, why are you bothering other people...

Also, the number of times you are away from your desk (washroom, getting water from the kitchen) will be counted by the person who is in charge of the department. 

In conclusion, I do not recommend working there if you are in either deployment or client service (it might be a different story if the position is filled with someone else). 

Some other indeed comments mentioned "It felt like a prison", I strongly agree.

Did I learn anything useful working there? No, it was a waste of time. 
Did I regret to apply there? Yes, I regret applied to the operation department. 

There is no promotion; there is no future 
Impossible to move to other positions

After working at big companies and small ones, I've found that this company has been just right for me.

It's big enough where there are lots of interesting and important problems to explore and solve, and small enough where you can actually make an impact and be appreciated for your contributions.

Hardest part of the job is the sheer volume of things to do. It can be difficult to make progress at times, you really have to buckle down and focus. This can be hard when you are constantly bombarded with new opportunities/problems to tackle. All in all, that's not a bad problem to have if you enjoy that kind of thing!

I've worked at Eigen now for awhile, and can't picture myself at any other company. 

The opportunities to create your own role within the company are significantly greater than other companies I've worked at, as long as you are willing to put in the work and grow professionally. Yes, it is challenging and busy at times, but the more you are challenged, the more you can grow.

Eigen values employees who are team players, work hard and show up on time. Heads up - the show up on time is a big one!

I started working at Eigen right out of university, so I don't have much to compare it too. Nonetheless, I feel lucky to have joined them.

I love getting to work in a company that is growing fast and has a ton of interesting problems to solve. In my experience, Eigen has given me room to explore what value I can add to the business. I have had the opportunity to create and implement solutions that make a real impact - something I wouldn't have thought I'd have the chance to do so early in my career.

This is not a company where you will grow.

The patriarchal management style requires a high turnover in order to keep the power within the hands of a few people (one person, really).

Most employees there are under 30 and pressured to the max. The company is kept lean. 

It's a good first experience, even though some practises are shady - another reason they mostly hire young, inexperienced people. 

The work is interesting, management in place (the few who don't get replaced regularly) is cool, good mentoring, good location, intelligent CEO.

Pros:
- People are friendly
- Pantry is replenish every week
- Has annual summer and Christmas party

Cons:
- As a software technology company, the salary is very low and the benefit is not competitive enough.
- Management is very old school.
- Tools and applications are very manual and not efficient.
- No Human Resource Department.
- No training and development provided to employees with the tools necessary for their success i.e leadership training and professional development.

A typical day at work is signing in to your profile and then answering calls for 8 hours until you go home. When you're not answering calls you are working at a neverending queue that you're constantly trying to make a dent in but never do. There isn't really a training program and the goal is to do as much as you can until the day is over and you can go home. The turn over rate for this place is pretty high so I recommend it only as a transitionary job until you find something better.

Work environment is very fast paced and there is a steep learning curve when you first start. The training is somewhat inconsistent but as long as you ask lots of questions and read the documentation it should be fine. Can be overwhelming and stressful at times but everyone is always there to help.

-Management is very approachable and encouraging to employees who wish to build a better career for themselves. 
-Great coworkers!
-However, miscommunication between different departments can cause issues sometimes and work can get hectic at times.

Call center environment, stressful and salary is very low. Management is also quite poor. Only positive would be the coworkers in the Client Services Department, they're always friendly and ready to help.
