Empire Theatres

Generally in the mornings you would be sure to start all the food machines (fryers, TCBY, coffee, popcorn machines, butter warmers, hot dog rollers, slush machines, etc) assign cast members tills for the day (usually about thirty tills) count the safe, create till floats, ensure the projectionist has an accurate list of movies and times playing, perform a "Take-Five" meeting with frontline staff on daily goals, perform orders or recieve orders depending on the day, and much more that has to deal closer with stock levels, payroll, and customers. I've learned how to really hone my management skills and it has given me confidence in non-management positions to ensure I'm working the best I can, as well as provided me respect for my management. As I was part of the management I would like to say it was very well done, but there are times and managers that haven't been 100% up to par, which is something that I have learned to work with by simply taking the initiative to correct the problem. Co-workers have always been friendly and respectful. The hardest part of the job was really dealing with aggresive customers, but for the most part if you listen to the customer, it's pretty easy to keep them in a good mood. I love watching movies so Empire Theatres was a place where I could not only watch every new release, but talk about them on a daily basis with customers. :)

The typical day in the life of a supervisor and Empire Theaters would consist of opening the food bar, setting up for the first rush. Conversing with the managers about how busy the night would be. Then our staff would start showing up and we could start to joke around a little while opening up, I loved that. The nights would be routine, customers would come and front line staff would be on their tills and I would supervise things behind the bar and make sure they went smoothly throughout the night. We would have break time in the middle and it was a good chance to unwind with everyone before finishing the night. Then once the final rush was over my self the and LFO would commence closing down the bar, cleaning all of the equipment. I would also count and put away the remaining stock. I loved working at Empire Theaters, it was hands down the best job I've ever had.

It was a really enjoyable experience! Your always around excitement and people enjoying themselves, that unless your having a terrible day already, its impossible not to feel just as thrilled as everyone else. management was very efficient, and made the job fun most of the time, and everyone else that worked there was my age so it was very easy to get along with other co-workers. The hardest part (which honestly wasn't too hard) was just making sure that the theaters are cleaned before the next show. the most enjoyable part was the people you met both working there and the customers you served, their always friendly and like to joke around (when appropriate)

a typical day at empire theatre, i would come in be informed about what has gone on through the week if there were any changed , stock up so we are ready for the rushes clean up if anything needs to be cleaned up . then the fun begins the massive line of customers. the people there are amazing they know how to have fun and work. overall the job environment and staff are great the only hard thing there were the custumers and how they would complain about things that were out of our control , we all tried our best to help the situation out but there is only so much we can do to help sometimes technology just fails us. this was one of my best places i have worked at , so sad its closing down.

Going to work was an enjoyable experience during my 3 years at the theater. The people I worked with and the customers were the most enjoyable part of the job. I learned a lot about proper customer service and its benefits and how to problem solve effectively. The hardest part of the job would be trying to do a task alone when it was required for more hands, it was frustrating and difficult to finish the task when understaffed.

The theatre was a very positive place to work, with friendly coworkers and approachable management. The job requirements were always straightforward, and they were always very understanding of any concerns you might have. The job provided some necessary skills in customer service, handling money, and use of a vista till system. The most enjoyable part of the job was easily the fun, supportive environment, and it had no real "hard parts" to speak of.

I would give Old Navy and the Gap Inc. a good rating based off of my personal experience visiting this working environment. I have also heard good reviews from other friends and family who have been a part of your incorporation.

I enjoyed working for Empire Theatres, where I found the management to be very professional and up front with their staff members. They operated at a very professional level, and conducted business in a great manner. One downside to the job is that they were under-staffed on their more busy of days. Aside from that, I recommend it as a great first part-time job.

Working at either the concession stand (food handling) or floor (ushering guests to designated movie theaters). At times, especially on Tuesdays (half prices movies), the work load becomes very difficult to bare but with enough experience is manageable.

Fun workplace with great people (employees and management).

The time spent under this employment has positively benefited my social skills. As with most jobs of this nature, it is common to be flustered and overwhelmed by the job, however this can be used to learn and grow as a person. The people at Empire Theatres are very welcoming.
