Esso On the Run

A typical day at work was me working the cash, meeting new people and authorizing people to pump their gas. I learned that all jobs are the same and with different companies things may vary. Management was good, I had a really nice employer/boss. I never had co-workers working here which was alright because it gave me the opportunity to learn more. The most enjoyable part of the job was being my own boss and having the trust and responsibility to run things on my own. Great experience.

I loved this job only because I worked with an awesome boss who paid me a little more than everyone because I did most of his cash handling and emails. I hated that it was the same thing everyday. And with such a small group of workers I saw the same people everyday. I learned a lot about counting cash and cash handling. I caught a few people stealing and a lot of times I had to toughen up and tell them to leave the store so you could say I was also the bodyguard of the store.

I started there as a cashier and throughout my time there I had the opportunity to purchase the franchise. I very much enjoyed working there. In the final 2 years there had been some restructure with our head office and it was apparent that it was time to move on to other opportunities. Everyone that was employed at the Bancroft location was reliable and fun to work with. I learnt how to operate a business to that calliper and it was a good life lesson as well.

Worked as a customer service representative at  John st, Thunder Bay location. Manager would constantly violate: break rules, equal work equal pay, as well as your right to privacy. Had to quit because the toxicity was to much. Never missed a day, never called in sick. But if she doesn't like you, you'll stay at $14 and part time. I've worked shifts for those paid $15 and never got anything above $14

Esso is a great place to work with an owner and management team whose number one priority is for the safety and well-being of their team. Also it is crewed with the most delightful people. I would have to say the hardest part of the job is not having a designated "break", but it is to be expected when you work in such a fast-passed environment.

Employed by ESSO-Canada, responsible for the operations management of the site gas station and convenience store.
o Responsible for providing the service to customers.

I work full-time nights as this is the only position that is offered on a full-time basis. I enjoy my manager and people that I work with. Safety is a concern was I work alone. Although there are lots of cameras in the store, I do not feel safe as I still need to open the door  to allow customers to come in and shop.

balanced cash, sold lottery, stocked store, cleaned.  I learned that not all people were easy to work for.  My co workers and customers were friendly.  The hardest part of my job was working opposite shifts as my husband and not seeing him a lot.  The most enjoyable part was my regular customers and friendly faces.

It is great place to work. Dealing with different customers with different nationalities during day is most interesting part of this job. Learn to be happy social and get to know about different behaviours of persons with reactions at various situations. Be a proud representative of organisation.

A typical day of work consists of coming in, checking washrooms, floors, clean shelves, serve customers in lottery, cigarettes, Gas, and more. counting cash before starting a shift  and at end of shift as well as product reports of lottery.
Customers are very enjoyable and relitivly happy.
