Typical working day 8AM TO 6PM :

8am log on process orders from the previous working day whic would be 6pm till 8am manually passing data to accounts

Dealing with stock issue if orders have special parts which need to be booked from suppliers.

Target to be completed before 18:01

Taking calls 130 + a day target
Completing chats (instant web message) 40 + a day
Completing Emails 55 + a day
Make at least 10 Sales.

40 minutes lunch break 13:00 to 13:40

I have learn how to handle irate customer to serving customer ensuring everyone has been dealt with correctly reflecting back on good reviews (online) and of course helping others with task should they find it diificult to complete.

Worked in warehouse on 10 hour/month (ECP version of a zero hours) contract. Couple months before Xmas and without any prior notice all overtime stopped and given just 10 hours one month then nothing the following. The result is the younger staff on lower NMW kept jobs and older ones didn't. Management are old fashioned bullish dinosaurs but give kids supervisory roles with no clue what they're doing and they in turn just look after their favourites. Generally it was over staffed and most pickers were lazy and spent more time on their mobiles. Job itself is so boring anyway so probably glad I don't work there anymore anyway.

unfortunately when i first started at euro car parts i had a good opinion on the workplace/management.

as time went on i realised i had fooled myself into what i thought. it is a place full of backstabbing management and unprofesional staf members who moan and argue with eachother over communucation and lack of effort throughout.
people are always threatening to leave and while i have worked there ive been to the doctors over stress becaouse it is to much to cope with doing 6 days a week in the envoronment that is that poor. do NOT attemp to work here please, you cannot even have a lunch break without been moaned at.

If you want to have depression,long hours,confrontational management,unrealistic targets,made to feel guilty if you take a lunch break,annoy customers through constant phone calls,NOT have a life,then this is the company for you,I can say that their staff turnover is horrendous,To book a holiday...What a joke !!!.....Seriously,don,t care about their staff,all they want is as much money as they can get,alot depends on the Branch Manager at the time,but they change like the weather !!
The only plus side was that the salary was reasonable,but not worth all the above mentioned hassle !!!!!

Some regional managers have zero people skills 
Unrelenting pressure to hit sales targets, call targets, special offer targets etc. (This is daily)
Quite happy to make you work 12 days straight doing 50+ hours Monday to Friday, then weekends on top.
If you like being under constant pressure from 8am to 6pm 6+ days a week... This is the place for you.
Loyalty and length of service go unrecognised so don't expect an ounce of gratitude if you last 5-10 or 15+ years with them.

Started here as a casual after being told by the manager that I could go full time once there was a position available, 10 months later that never happened after 3 full time drivers got taken on. Driver controller was constantly stressed and miserable and very unhelpful when there was a problem. Job itself is good if you like driving, customers were very friendly and polite.

If you give an inch they’ll take a mile, they’ll take advantage of you if you’re a hard worker and they won’t give any appreciation or recognition for it. You’ll probably have to work full time during the week and a full day on a Saturday. You’ll have to beg to have even an hour off because they’re so tight with giving holidays or any sort of day off. Work/life balance is rubbish.

Great place to work if you want to sacrifice leisure hours to advance 
Very friendly team in all areas large company which empowers you to  progress BUT also open to overnight organisational changes.

Management need training on colleagues with additional needs as do most members of staff. Management not supportive or helpful with difficulties in the work place. 

ECP is a good place to work and there are many benefits to the job. It is very fast paced and can become very stressful at times due to the  competition with other parts suppliers. You have to deal with both the trade and public.
