This company is a prime example of a toxic work environment that undermines its employees and has a complete disregard for their well-being.

From the moment I joined the team, I was in denial because I had been lied to to take the job.   The company culture is one that promotes a self-righteous attitude from management, with little to no recognition of the hard work and dedication that employees put into their roles. The lack of respect and appreciation for the contributions of the team creates a toxic work environment that breeds frustration and resentment.

There is no support or encouragement provided to the employees. In fact, the company actively undermines its employees' efforts and makes them feel as though they are not good enough to meet the company's expectations. 

The management seems to have no regard for the importance of employees' personal time. They call you when you are no longer at work, and stress you out on your personal time.  Management also interrogates you and what you do with your personal time.  They ask you about medical matters. 

Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for a positive and supportive work environment. The company's disregard for its employees' well-being, lack of respect, and finger pointing make it a truly terrible place to work. If the company wishes to retain its employees and attract new talent, it needs to make significant changes to its culture and management style.

The most enjoyable part of the job is also the hardest part of the job, there are so many changes/projects happening. There are plenty of opportunities to take on new tasks and responsibilities. On the other hand, the infrastructure is not adapting quickly enough (if adapting at all) for the growth/change, sufficient resource is not provided, so it is hard to manage those changes.

The culture in Office is "strickly work". It is unlike other companies that I've worked in. A shift-like work even for salaried staff. Celebrations are only for project and company achievements, company and colleagues rarely celebrate on anything else (birthdays, big personal events, etc). Colleagues are mostly very friendly.

The physical environment is challenging. Few washrooms, no windows in the office, coffee, water, and a mini-fridge and microwave are provided in a tiny corner in the hallway. I don't normally care about these things, but......There is an awesome cafeteria in the building (shared by all companies) with affordable lunch and bright sitting space.

Overall I look forward to working on most days for the challenges and my colleagues.

Work load is acceptable. Management will not give you enough support, only blame you at first if anything goes wrong. Extremely lack of team spirit, no team building, you basically can't get much communication with your colleagues. Management team will not treat you fairly unless they like you, very personal.

Minimum hours on every day's time sheet is mandatory, everyone basically fight to fill up the time sheet. People will not join company event, party, or small gathering since these kind of not-work related activity cannot put on time sheet.

No career path, the organization of the department is very simple, no middle level position, only junior and management. People only see this position as a stepping stone to another company. The management team set up departmental culture makes people do not want to stay in the company since they never show appreciation. 

Turnaround time for employees are very high due to the fact of ridiculous management.

After working in the industry for quite a few years, I can clearly state that this is one of the most disorganized and worst biotechnology company in Canada. If you like working in a toxic work environment, this place is for you. Higher management doesn't care about anything(like how the company employees & business is handled by middle management) but profits. Favouritism is the second language you will find here, and It's evident when you see 90% of management belong to a specific ethnicity. When it comes to hiring for management positions, only particular ethnicity is give n preference even if that person happens to know nothing about scientific methods or have education in the same field. As long as you can kiss the ring & share same background the job is yours. 
If you love working in biotechnology and like to work in healthy work environment, find some other company cause this isn't one.

Unprofessional workplace!  The company puts up with toxic “management” who thinks they are better than everyone else despite the countless complaints to HR.  You just can’t treat people this way.  They can’t appreciate good and hard work because they have no clue how to do their job or knowledgeable about other positions, yet they have lots to say about it.  Everyone has a “it’s not my job” attitude.  Some think they know your job better than you. Some coworkers will push work onto you while they benefit off your back.

Very unorganized company, anyone in a position of power does not know what they are doing. Salary is a joke for what they ask of you. GMP is nonexistent, documentation is a joke and the production facility is poorly designed. The inexperienced people are the ones leading the ones with experience. One FDA visit and this company is done for. People are leaving faster then they can hire, very dysfunctional company. Worst pharmaceutical company I've ever worked for.

The company itself is fine, but nothing exceptional.  It's outgrown the current building and is very tight on space.

The consulting department has some good people, and is a good place to learn and hone regulatory and quality skills.  It offers an opportunity to handle a wide variety of products, and work in many areas of the quality management system, however the consulting department comes second to the lab. 

Generally once an employee learns the skills to further themselves they will be able to move to a larger company that pays better.

There isn’t much “culture”. Good base salary, ok health and dental, not mich monetary benefits. Not many company events. I was surprised by the half an hour unpaid lunch and no bonus. Everywhere else I had work, its either 8:30-5 with one hour lunch break, or 9-5 with half an hour lunch break, It’s 8:30-5 with half an hour lunch break here and at times it’s a lunch meeting withno break.

I learned a lot of new things
Management was extremely cooperative and they listen to you as an employee
Great - Team work. Meetings, discussions and parties.
Ensuring customer happiness / delivering the products on time by resolving challenges
Challenges and resolving challenges by sharing the challenges with the rest of the crew and coming up with great resolutions.

Been there 6 months and there are talks of promotions already. Fast pace but management is indulgent with deadlines when possible. Salary is average for the region, could be more but it's better than where I was before. Evening, weekend and night shifts get a few dollars extra per hour. Nice cafeteria area with fresh food to purchase if you forgot your lunch and comfy chairs. Employees are friendly. Overtime is to be expected in the summer, winter work slows significantly.
