Was given training for approximately three wks, then left alone 90% of the time with no information of who to contact when I had questions.
When I made an error I was never shown how to prevent any further issues from occurring.
Training was lacking in clarity. I would be shown how to do a task and then would be told differently the next day or given information that was forgotten when explained the first time at a later time.
Insufficient training references. Since I was left alone most of my shift I would search for training references to understand the task correctly only to fall short of finding any.
Unclear chain of command. I did not know who to address any concerns to.
The people for the most part are pleasant to work with.
The schedule is very accommodating.


Excelitas Technologies has been hands down the best place I have worked at.  Management cares about their employees.  Yes, there is office politics, but what company doesn't have politics? Pay is also competitive, it isnt at the top,  but it also isnt lowest.  In terms of work-life balance, when I am done, I go home, and that's it.  During COVID there were not layoffs, shutdowns or people being sent early, if anything, there was a lot of overtime available for employees who wanted it. I really have enjoyed my time here.   


Poor planning and scheduling. The management doesn't seem to understand or care about overworked employees.

Very intense and demanding work environment and high pressure to meet goals and deadlines.

Alot of pressure put on new team leaders from management to achieve production targets as well as to train new employees.  

This leads to a lot of burn out and high attrition for some positions.

There is no management on production floor and less communication or no communication from manager or supervisor. Lot of politics in management. Hires people with no experience as a team lead and expect to achieve targets.supervisors are of no help, always end up giving answer like “I don’t know”. 

I would recommend Excelitas as the best employer.
Here only want to mention the details of Cons. I couldn't feel the existence of manufacturing engineer. It looks they always work at office but not on floor. Almost no impressive jig and no continuous improvement.

No support from management 
Grumpy workers , always shouting.
Unsafe to work. Management should inspect about health and safety.esoecially the racking .
OHS should visit in this place.

Production area. Grumpy worker

Employees are really good but there is a lack of solid management framework. Mostly firefighting culture. Like every place there is exclusive "club" but it doesn't hurt anyone, but can give a sense of nepotism!

Good place to work with a lot of perks depending on your role. Good opportunity for advancement if your manager recognizes you otherwise you can get struck in the political drama. Apart form this very good place for beginners to start off there career.

This used to be a nice place to work. However recently,
production managers and supervisors dump all responsibility on to in-experienced team leaders and planners. And then bully them to meet production targets.

A really enjoyable place to work in. People are friendly and open-minded. The downside is that it is located outside the city of Montreal which made it a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, highly recommend working there!!
