Typical day at work involves working with mails, printing and scanning of files that come.

I learnt how backend stuff works in an insurance company.

Management was bad to say the least. They treat you unfairly most of the times. Petty complaints were made against me but my manager never asked for my clarification, rather he asked me to be careful. On another occasion I asked for help to complete a task, I was told by my then team lead "what are you talking about? People used to scan bigger files than these (the ones I had), this is nothing" and I was refused help but when it came to other people I was told to help them. 

Workplace culture is toxic, you'll be overburdened with work. Management likes to protect their favourite employees and treat others harshly.

Hardest part of the job was to deal with toxic management people day in day out.  Also, the fact that the company pays you minimum wage but makes you toil hard is messed up. 

Most enjoyable part of the job was when I left for the day. 

Working for Exela Technologies has been an overall positive experience.  My manager and coworkers are compassionate, understanding, and encourage us to bring our best selves to work. Pay is competitive for early-career positions. Benefits are 80/20, ok for medications and dental work but major claims get denied by their provider Equitable Life. No optical insurance, sadly. Tech Support not great. Confusing access and setup for Sharepoint, mail, ADP. Onboarding process can take a long time depending on your client site. Job culture is also very dependent on your client site--I had an awesome assignment, so it made it worth all the little quirks with Exela tech support. An excellent company to work for if you have transferable skills from other industries and want to pivot into a corporate career.

Overall my experience at novitex was just barely tolerable. 
we would start out with morning huddle and hear who had quit and who had been there the longest, followed by where everyone needed improvment. 
If Novitex had proper managment at The Bow in Calgary it would have been the perfect place to work. 

The managment they had were slave drivers, You were paid decent for your position, Favoritism is huge with this company, and if you are not a favorite i hope you dont mind being in the same dead end job for the rest of your life.
The co workers and customers were amazing and are what will get you through the day.
The best part of working there were the off site locations.

No career growth what so ever! Extremely low pay for excessive amounts of work. Employees were given a $20 walmart gift card for Xmas after working completely through the Covid pandemic! NO BONUS! NO APPRECIATION AT ALL! No 401k match. You get two 10min breaks and a 30min lunch break. Management just gives you the runaround about anything you ask. There is very high turn over rate because the pay never increases! They lose good loyal employees because of their mistreatment and lack of care. Horrible place to work, but will do if your in need without any other options!

Everybody in my team is very friendly and always helpful when I need them, including supervisers and managers. The supervisor and manager in my office were always easy to talk to about any problems. 
The only shadow cast on an otherwise bright work day is the unproductive slow days when there is very little to do, interspersed with unpredictable chaos on random days when so much work would come at once that it required overtime. This may have just been on me and my teams particular tasks, but it wears you down after a while, having little stability.

opening and sorting mail , opening and sorting travel insurance going around asking for help or if my manager needed me to go to another site .Most of my coworkers were awesome they helped me whenever necessary 
The hardest part was standing too long with one job ,nothing was difficult or hard to do because I always enjoyed doing something new .
I enjoyed getting people to work esp when they were pretending to do other jobs .

Set hours which is great, management has little or no supervisory experience. There is no room for advancement and everyone is hired on a one year contract to avoid giving you benefits. 
The people you work with are what will make a huge difference in your work experience, I like the people I've met here but this job is very repetitive and often times there is nothing to do. 

It doesn't pay minimum wage but not far from it either.

Typical day:- Get to work safely and do whats required and more
Learned:- to appreciate doing something different learning new type of work that can benefit me, lots on safety requirements of job.
Management:- Very supportive and great people
Co-workers:- Interesting and able to get the job done.
Hardest Part:- the end
Most Enjoyable:- learning new areas and adding to skills set, meeting people, my Supervisor, wonderful opportunity.

The company was great in the beginning. As it merged with other companies to form what is now known as Exela Technologies it is horrible. The only support is from the direct group you work with as we only can rely on each other. Senior management will not approve increases for employees. For many it has been 6-10 years since they received an increase. There is no emphasis or program for Employee Engagement.

This is no good place to work. Lack of communication is the bane of their business. The employees don't matter to company; all that matters is work and money. I advise you to go there for employment only if you are about to be kicked out of your apartment for non-payment of rent.
